Hi! I'm considering to build a new cpu as my current one is almost 6yrs and yesterday just experienced bsod for once~ I know nothing about hardware so would appreciate if u guys could help me =:p

Budget: $1.6-$1.8k (monitor not included)
Usage: csgo, dota2, netflix
Preferred: rbg parts related

Below is my current cpu' spec, bought it around $1.2k. Any parts worth/able to salvage? :s13:

U mean mine still can last at least 1 year?

Sent from Home using GAGT

if take care, can last long long. his pc and ur pc so different also cannot liddat compare. bsod if doesnt recur frequently then nothing to worry about, maybe just suay that one time.

anyway realistically if wanna upgrade, the only thing u can salvage are ur storage (ssd and hdd), case and probably ur psu but not very likely since 6yrs old already unless ur psu got like 10 yr warranty. everything else cannot be used on modern systems, so either throw or sell on carou. but there really isnt a need to, if system is stable and meets ur requirements there isnt a good reason to upgrade.
