Hey, sorry to raise this thread again, but I got a letter asking me to go to CMPB for defauting IPPT; I am in the midst of doing RT now. This thread was 2011, now 2014, any difference?

I am to report to CMPB in September, by then I should have completed my RT and also an ICT.

Got diff. If you default IPPT, u will have to answer the charge as IPPT defaulter, doesn't matter if u complete your RT anot. Seeing that u complete your RT, the officer maybe more lenient with his punishment, ie maybe a reprimand instead of fine.

If u also default on RT, then u will be charged as RT defaulter again. Since u didn't, so no worries for u.

Thanks very much! This is the first time I am being called up as to CMPB for defaulting IPPT; what are the different kinds of punishments possible?

Thanks a lot! Do you roughly know how much would the fine be? Does it also depends on your rank?

Min is $50 although I heard they increase to $100. Not too sure if the increment is true. Anyway, just sound apologetic when u talk to the officer. Tell him u won't do it again and already completed your RT, will probably increase your chance of getting a reprimand.

After serving 2 or 2.5 years of our time, this is the kind of treatment we get, get called up at their whim and fancy like dogs... We are not even regulars or fully salaried soldiers, why do we have to go through this even after we have ORD... I think u only get this kind of treatment in Singapore army

Hi vasilli07, thank you very much for your advice! this is actually the first time ever I am called down to CMPB to answer Charge for "neglecting to perform a lawful duty"; just hope everything will turn out fine.

Can extend? My birthday is 25july. I can just go down from one of my session and extend?

yes, at any session before your birthday (try to make it as early as possible), after you get your out pro slip, go to the counter, there is 1 counter who will help u apply for extension of 1 month.

Hey, we are probably in the same batch, I am being asked to report to CMPB in september, and not so if is true, but maybe also don't have NSman rebate anymore, although nobody is really sure about this.

RT is a privilege. Either they changed the law or you attend.

If you don't agree, you'll have to change the government but then even a new government may ask you to do RT.

but maybe the new government maybe not open flood gates to flood you out of job while you attend RT
