HELP: Gigabyte mobo boot looping

I removed the ssd and booted. Now under "loading OS" it says "disk boot failure. insert system disk and press enter."

yup. looks like it's the ssd. reinstall os and give it a go? try plugging ssd into another computer and see if it's detected or working by running hdtune. or u can contact me if u need extra help

Don't mind me asking, how did you know it was the ssd? shouldn't it display no boot drive when I disconnect it?

main pt is boot reloop has stopped after removing ssd. go plug ur ssd into another PC and test it; alternatively, try and see if u can reinstall OS successfully in the same ssd.

Why do this test when he is able to boot?

Is the boot up test fully completed?

Check Sata connectivity at bios: set 'ide' or "ahci" or "raid"?

Paper clip test only prove that the PSU is not dead which was done when he was able to boot his com.
I doubt the paper clip test can tell anything more than that.

well yeah,but just to verify lor , best is to get the voltage tester kit

High chance it's the SSD fault. Can try reformat the SSD and reinstall the OS. If problem still persist, RMA the ssd.

I had this problem with Gigabyte board, though it may not be the same cause.

In short, I just bought the new rig along with the Gigabyte board. When installing OS, it just hangs. Then it reboots, and it will keep rebooting infinitely. Does not go away, no matter what I did. In the end, I brought it back to distro, and when they tested, the board was fine. Turns out that the heatsink not sitting properly was the cause according to him. So they told me its weird, but that was the case. I switched to using a 3rd party cooler where the pins were quite seasoned and it worked fine. Odd.

Just FYI for TS, if all don't work, try resitting the heatsink again.
