At least he got to use it. I paid more than USD100 for a MS Office 2010 key from Yugster and never got to use it. I was perfectly fine with MS Office 2007. When I eventually got around to installing MS Office 2010 about 3 years later, the key had been blocked and MS absolutely refused to give me a replacement even though I offered proof of purchase.
Yugster's attitude was basically "too bad, can't help ya". I have never bought from Yugster again.
His was official MS online store leh, if cannot use really got problem. Yugster is a deals site, may or may not be authorized keys for resale (like the reddit ones)... but USD100 is no joke. Also sim tia![]()
Iirc, most shops selling hdd will have the hdd wrapped in anti static bag, instead of retail box....
I think you are being too anal bah... all is working fine, just use it.
doesnt really matter oem or retail
just buy the cheaper key will do
I remembered in 2012 windows 8 was $18

I got the feeling Microsoft may drop the current idea with incremental updates before the OS starts falling apart from having too many vulnerabilities and bugs from the addons. On the long run also not good to their revenue since users can just simply reuse their Windows 10 from scratch and update to the latest build...I expect to use win10 for at least 10 years. There won't be a win11. Now i'm not protected if i want to build another pc.
Understand that other ppl have posted "tricks" to reactivate oem on another hardware. Its just that it'll depend on luck on whether it works or not.
If u do realise, Microsoft is following in Apple's footsteps. Apple has stopped charging its fan base money to buy new OS X versions. It has been upgrades and upgrades, to the point that OS X has essentially become a service Apple provides rather than an OS. Microsoft is starting to rebrand itself from an OS company to a service-oriented company, as evident in its subscription model for Microsoft Office. Long-term updates to Windows 10 is entirely possible and feasible. To the point that even if Windows 11 comes out, it could be an upgrade to Windows 10, much like what El Capitan is to Yosemite in the OS X platform.I got the feeling Microsoft may drop the current idea with incremental updates before the OS starts falling apart from having too many vulnerabilities and bugs from the addons. OEM will be useless once you change motherboard.. say your MOBO burn and you RMA another one, your key is basically useless. The CSO at M$ i talked to die die say cannot do anything because it's OEM
end up angwee i buy new key from Amazon.
Since you end up with OEM just be mindful your next upgrade need to factor in another OS cost.
Finally got ppl understand my pain. Everyone keeps saying like oem more worth it, but always fail to consider that unofficial ways to reactivate licenses may not work.
I feel that retail copy is the way to go for windows10, since its meant to last at least 10 years.

OEM and retail serve their own purpose .....
anyway i feel the title is misleading... PCT give you wrong windows or you buy the wrong windows with your own assumption.

People here have already tried and succeeded. Do you think we will tell you something that won't work and ask you to gamble on it?Finally got ppl understand my pain. Everyone keeps saying like oem more worth it, but always fail to consider that unofficial ways to reactivate licenses may not work.

But whether the service-oriented and subscription model works out for a company that has long been earning profits through standalone licensing, it remains to be seen.
