I've been checking out YouTube videos about Windows 8.1 and surprised when you said 8.1 is a bad idea. Can you elaborate or point me to the correct thread to discuss this? It's either this or that and I don't want to regret once I made the purchase.
It's easier for Windows 7 users to stay put. But for me a Windows XP user I had to make a choice.
2 things that breaks 8.1 for me being killer Ethernet driver being said to cause crashes on 8.1 and my main game BnS being incompatible with it.
This are just my examples of why im staying away frm 8.1 atm. Its good. But i think its too new atm so issues and errors will appear. Sticking to 8 and upgrading to 8.1 when the drivers are more stable seems like a good idea to me. Or simply get win 7. Or stay with xp?
Windows 8.1 is basically just like XP service pack 2. Its mainly a patch not a new windows version. Thats why its free. Upgrade to windows 9 will not be free.
