Hahaha. There's some truth in this.

My P5Q Pro's on its deathbed (only 1 RAM slot working) but I'm not complaining. It has served me well for the past 5+ years too.

My P5Q still running strong, after 5+ years, a power short that melted my sata cable. Though It has been decommissioned for my parents used now. I'm currently using a MSI board due to the mobo layout though.

But seriously, no need to crossfire/SLI. Save the problems and your usage no need.

Asrock and msi are good brand but if you atas go for asus

Most ASRock and MSI motherboards comes with 3 years warranty.

Hmmm as mentioned previously get a b85 g43 msi with 4570, ram can get value rams reuse window 7 ba

i would say 5 years is v good.. my asus lasted for 2 years, had it rma. the replacement failed juz after the 3yr warranty ended... switched to msi.

anw the stuff you want to do is very light. just get a i5 and a cheap gpu with value ram

bro actually gpu can put on the pcie3 x16 slot then the wifi card and sound card can put on pci slot and pci slot 2.0 x1 respectively. if you need only more gpu to xfire or sli, can put on the 2.0 x16 de same one no need change mobo

not many mainstream mobo has more than 3 pcie slots. 4 or above usually on upper mobo tier. for your ivy, probably asrock extreme 3. i understand that it can be hard to foresee the needs in the future, so maybe for now if you do not wish to replace your mobo, switch to usb wireless receiver.

How do I buy second-hand Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 package? If someone upgraded his/her Windows 7 to Windows 8.1, can the old registration number for Windows 7 be transferred to me?

I'm trying to save costs as new Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 is currently priced between $119 to $146 to $169 depending on which shop you ask.

If no choice, can anyone private message me where I can get the cheapest price for Windows 8.1. Which shop?

aiyo bro kidding only ma trying to lighten the mood but if you want you can reuse hdd that already have the windows installed in it thats what i'm doing also so far no problem met yet... but to be honest i never seen before people selling secondhand windows maybe have just that i dont know? hahaha

Just get win 7 for now la since u dont like metro interface. Why worry so much. Next time win 9 come out, everybody also has to pay what. Not u alone.

I thought with the unpopular Windows 8/8.1 experience, Microsoft may offer Windows 9 as free upgrade ..... instead of continuing the bad name e.g 8.2 or 8.3.

Still mulling over the prices, it's either to buy Windows 7 or buy Windows 8/8.1 for the same money.

Win 7 will be more stable and drivers are more supported

Win 8 still have knicks to work out for some drivers and might not be as stable due to driver incompatibilities and stuff. But it should be smoother as win8 uses less resources.

Win 8.1 is a bad idea right now imho. Stick to 8 if u getting 8/8.1 or just get 7 and wait for 9



As for free upgrade.... i really doubt there will be any free upgrade to 9
