If any of you encounter this error .... don't play play .. quickly copy all your files out.

One of my harddisk got this error .... and I keep delaying and delaying .. end up .... the whole harddisk unaccessible liao. And I lost all my data.

But luckily all this are not critical data ... so still not so bad.

your latest HD Tune image same as 2yrs ago?

The "current" value is 100.
The "worst" value is 100.
The "threshold" value is 0. If the current value goes BELOW the threshold the disk fails that SMART test and is considered as FAILING_NOW.
The "data" column in your list is a "raw" value that has meaning only to the manufacturer in most cases.

I suggest u use HDD Guardian

It is the same error. But I use the picture which I used 2yrs ago lah.

CrystalDiskInfo shows ok.

But anyway, I already RMA-ed the harddisk since the warranty will expires in less than 1yr time.

If I am not wrong ... for SSD .. it doesn't have "Calibration Retry Count".

Could you switched to another normal mechanical harddisk that you have?

Other software, all show ok liao.

It seems that the software HDD Guardian that u were using also has some access to additional information on a website.

I'm not sure of the significance of the extra information though.

For Interface CRC Error Count, normally it's either SATA cable not plugged tightly or the SATA cable faulty. Try changing SATA cable see if it improves. As long as the count doesn't increase, it should still be ok to use the HDD.

For Calibration Retry Count, as I mentioned earlier in the thread, it's a very serious warning. If your HDD still has warranty, warnings in "Calibration Retry Count" are entitled to RMAs and u are advised to do so. :o
