I want to get a Sony mp3 but I don't know what model to buy.
Price wise below 300

Specs wise I have no idea what they are talking about. Can someone please help?

hi...im selling a mint condition Sony NWZ-S745 DAP. only 1 week old.

Black color with 16GB, Built in Digital Noise Cancelling function, FM radio.

This S745 looks exactly like a mini version of sony's A840 series DAP. if you prefer a more sleek looking one, can consider.

Brought it on the 21/12/2010 with local warranty. i have recieved another Sony DAP with 32GB as a gift so letting this one go.

It's retail price is $349, im selling for $260 nego.. pls contact @ 83547021.

Already EOL liao . You can only aim 2nd hand if there is but if your songs are all in .flac , X series is not for you as it can only read up till .mp3 .

Even if you can find one brand new, the price might put most off. 16GB @ $529 RRP. Spotty chinese character support too, not that you'll mind if you are going for audio perfection

I don't know to get NWZ-S754/L or NWZ-S755/B. Anyone any advice?

Btw, NWZ-S545/V and NWZ-S755/B is the same right? just that the difference is the memory space?

Probably slide show is like when u viewing images can go seamlessly from one to another at certain timings. Dunno why you would want to view images on a music player anyway.
Sony music players dont support on the go playlist creation btw.
S754 and A755 have different capacity and color.
S545 and S755 are very different. Google images and u will know.

hi winszip... if you decided to get S750 series, pls go check out it's front panel paint quality... i have seen one in person and to be honest, its a bit ugly with some surface uneveness..

maybe you would consider the S745 tat im letting go? the workmanship is perfect.

reason im letting go cos i got A846 as gift and also got another X1050 (second hand) just yesterday.

I would say S series has more kick in bass response than both A & X series, if u like bass, you wont be disappointed.

As for the difference in S545 & S755, main difference is whether you need speakers or not. If not the noise cancelling function in S755 can be quite useful during bus or train rides...

and of course you get a much better earphones with the S745/ S755... the earphones has full presentation and sure you wont miss much.

Use it for some time b4 you upgrade the earphones... as by then you can tell wat kind of sound you prefer when you go audit earphones in future.

For less than $300, I would say the latest E450 series is a good buy with the added SensMe and VPT effects.

S750 series has noise cancelling and longer battery life. I would not bother with the S540 series unless u need built-in speakers.

A840 series is now the top of the range but is quite bulky.

U need Sony Stage to create playlists iirc. Yeah u cant create them on the player.
