I'm convinced it is diet issue. I think exercise did help increase HDL to 63.
Tonight gonna go ntuc buy rolled oats to substitute white rice starting next week. But I dun like the creamy texture so I'll boil it to be drier.

Only having 2 shots of coffee now instead of 4. Coffee can increase LDL apparently.
my hdl has increase from 56 to 80 after i started my exercise journey.

so yes i think the exercise helps.. actuallky after the reading in jan this year i started taking oats and chia seeds..

next month will take the health check again to see whether 1 year time my numbers got improve a not..

I exercise 5 times a day (brisk walking for at least 3 km) and eating oats....cut down on sugar, unprocessed n fried food. No pastries n bakes. 3mths later, LDL dropped about 40%

Do update, I'm curious too. Any change in dietary habits other than oats and chia seed? E.g less white rice/noodles/fried foods etc.

I eat plain oats as bf , natto once a day and avocado as snack. My HDL is super high .

Sugar really parts a huge part in our health. As long as we avoid it and exercise , it should see improvement. Our HPB should educate the public about sugar. It doesn just cause diabetes but also fatty liver & trigger high bad cholesterol too.

Did anyone try changing job? Does stress level play a part in cholesterol level?

i went for genetic testing as part of a research study due to very high LDL of around 300. HDL 70+ and triglycerides 50+. still waiting for the results.

LDL dropped to below 180 after a month plus of statins. But was not keen to continue. Now increase back to 300.

not lean but physically active. i guess you may be thinking about LMHR.
Yup LMHR has numbers like yours. ie low trigs, high HDL and very high LDL.

Some carbs might bring down the LDL.

Otherwise, you may have the hypercholesterolemia.

A gene test will confirm that. You need to take the meds.

Very high HDL is dangerous. My cousin was like that and Dr ask him to take statin.
