Hopping on the bandwagon and recently joined the Hisense TV bandwagon, albeit a laser TV/UST projector.

Purchased from Taobao and from speaking to quite a few TV suppliers, Hisense is the clear market leader in China (albeit less known overseas) and a popular brand within the country. There are cheaper brands, and there are better performing brands, but overall Hisense strikes a good balance.

Only a matter of time before Hisense increases its market share overseas (for our benefit)!
Oh can share how much is it and quality? I assume the UI is the chinese UI? Did you get a screen and install as well?

Frustrating that while US & CA gets VA panels for their U8H models while poor SG gets only IPS panels for the very same U8H models. 😪

Seems TCL & Hisense have the same bad habits ... selling the same TVs (in name or pecking order) in US & SG with different specs. For example, US's TCL 6-series is probably quite similar (but still different) from our C825, C835, while Hisense's US U8H is also similar, yet different from our U8H. Damn!

People, do take all online reviews with a pinch of salt, coz it's no apples-to-apples comparison after all. LOL

US version using va panel, google tv os and now selling $1499 usd for 75 inch which is only $2145 sgd.

Local version gets ips, vidaas os at $2999. Treating locals as fools with inflated prices and inferior spec.
Besides our local version being IPS, having Vidaa OS, our version also do not have the subwoofer, and I bet our 65" version has only 120 local dimming zones (compared to the US's 504) similar to the UK's U8HQ model (https://www.avcaesar.com/news/1497/...ini-led-55-3939-65-3939-and-75-3939-1500-nits). At least the UK version is named differently. Ours is named exactly the same to mislead. In short, local version is made to look the same, performs worse off, yet cost more. Unacceptable!

Its SGD2700 after on site discount at Tampines megamart. But yes, it still more expensive then US. But then so does LG OLED C2 Evo. Same as Samsung S95B. Never ending story.

its across for the other brands as well and Hisense is not the only one.
