For myself I set light dimming to high . Flim maker mode n that works for me .. soundbar set to voice clarity which maybe harsh / sharp so still messing around with sound bar setting n tv to play well.

contrast setting I set to mid

Thanks. I didn't realize that the "Backlight" option still had sub-options within till you mentioned it.

Will play around with them to find the optimal brightness settings

like some of you here, I am comparing between 65" C835 and Hisense's U8H.

both is mini-led, couldnt find a place to do a side by side comparison. currently 9.9 sales:
C835 - ~$1950
U8H - ~$1850

does vida OS has mewatch already? vidaa OS is surprisngly smooth, probably even faster than google tv OS. just that TCL Tvs can act as a "smart speaker" because of the built-in far field mic.

Mewatch still not available on Vidaa. They mentioned it should be available by the end of the year.

Where did you manage to get the above pricings for C835 and U8h 65"? C835 was still $2,100 at the computer fair last week

done a few Dolby vison , IMAX and custom YUV 444, YUV 422 and YUV 420 test videos that I download off web.

only 444 and 422videos cannot play . the rest were like OMG....ultimate visual experience especially the IMAX videos

Been a LG supporter (86" in living room, 48" oled as monitor in study), use a 55" Panasonic in my mbr, and while the PQ is good, the poor UI, limited apps and patchy Internet connection of the TV has made me start to look out for a replacement.

Was very impressed by Hisense when the hotel we had a staycation at recently had one in the room. Thought it was one of the basic models but the colours were very nice and the UI was quite smooth. Given that the mbr TV is mainly for free-to-air, netflix and YouTube, I'm okay with a more entry model, but going for a 65" instead this time.

Courts now having a promo on the 65" A7, this weekend also got extra discount off, comes to $799.98. Now waiting for delivery and hoping it will be a nice upgrade from the Panasonic

Seems like the lowest price I can find, even better than Shopee/Lazada/hisense website. Delivery ETA is mid Oct.

that's weird thou, i purchase in comex and was quoted 1899 on the spot and also got ts3010 soundbar for free and if purchase over 2k can get purifier. Sold the soundbar as didnt like the turn on and off sound
