anyone connected their soundbar via audio port (not eArc) to the tv and having some intermittent issue?
watch awhile will have 1-3 seconds of sounds gone, after that will come back again and repeat.

i tried using soundbar bluetooth connection no such issue.
tested tv speaker also no issue.

I tried to connect my U8H via the Optical Out port to my Home Theatre system. Audio similarly drops for a few seconds after watching for some time (like 20-30 mins). Audio comes back thereafter and repeats again after another 20-30 mins.

Similarly, the Optical Out port is not able to natively passthrough "Dolby Digital" signals to my Home Theatre system. Only PCM audio at the moment.

No issues when using the in-built TV speakers.

I have highlighted all these issues to Hisense Singapore. They told me they have feedback to their China HQ, hopefully it will be fixed in the next firmware upgrade (whenever that may be).

I went to hisense booth today on tech show @ suntec to check on their display model. Apparently the blooming was bad as well, so the staff did turn off the local dimming function and the blooming went off. So with the local dimming , the black areas are very black. Without the local dimming the black areas somehow turn greyish.

Yeah, i noticed the blooming is more apparent against black background and white subtitles. Will try and switch off local dimming to see if makes much difference (but that kind of defeats the purpose of getting a mini-LED TV). That being said, it's performs well for bright and colourful scenes.

In terms of viewing angle, not very wide. Best watching straight on and level with the TV. If you view from a level lower than the TV (e.g. TV is mounted high on the wall), then blooming becomes more apparent and picture quality is also impacted due the viewing angle.

That's a great buy for 4K I believe weak ringgit is the reason for this fantastic price. Thanks for the Q10 update!

Hi all the Hisense experts!

I'm trying to get the 75" U8H for my house. Searching for the best deals these few weeks before the GST increases.

Saw on their official website that it's going for $3,299 (less $300 voucher) while the Hisense Official Store on Shopee's going for $3,099 (less $100 voucher).

So nett price is $2,999 at both websites.

Is $2,999 the cheapest deal for this TV?

Black Friday (25/11) is coming up followed by 12.12, Christmas and Boxing Day sales before GST increases next year.

Any experts know which of these year-end sale period offers the best discount for this TV?

During the Launch at courts Tampines it was 2999 + 10% off so that’s the cheapest..

Oh my, I was about to post a message here to see if it's an issue with my TV or my soundbar. I guess it's the TV then. I'll msg Hisense too. Hopefully they'll escalate this issue. @.@

in my U7G we set the Input option to Screen Sharing, then use Smart View on Samsung phone to cast screen over....not sure Screen Sharing and airplay will work for you

If you are looking at niche gaming, why compromise on quality and experience over a few hundred dollars? IMHO, go for the tried and tested LG C1 or C2.
