Looking at the airfares for HK in April, budget air and full-fledged (SIA) differ by ~$50 only. $250 but have to monitor as it will fluctuate till $299 for certain dates. Still a good rate

So far cheapest Cathay flight to HK I saw was $218 but limited flights.
SIA $238.

To me both of them under $300 with tax is consider affordable as it may be just $100+ over budget airline but what u get is more worth it due to the timing of flight/service/check in convenience/luggage allowance/meal/precious sleep due to flight timing and transport from home or hotel to airport.

however cathay promo timing also include the 1.30am flight ...

Jetstar if promo 91sgd
include checked in 25kg luggage for both ways is about 50sgd
one meal is about 14sgd , two meals is 28sgd
total is about 91+78=169sgd
the only diff is the entertainment and the 5* services
depends on individual...
for those who dun need so much checked in luggage + meal
would consider flying budget

for those who really need them, might pay 70sgd more for full fledged airline

for those who dun need so much checked in luggage + meal
would consider flying budget

just want to edit that statement, for those who don't mind sacrifice their sleep timing and hassle of moving around in darkness(late nite/early morning) can consider flying budget.

As age catches up, your body will tell you which one you need more...
Do note if you are going alone or with partner is ok. For those bringing old folks and young kids, spare a thought for them.

Don't wait too long. Full fare promo may need to purchase 30 days in advance. Last minute fares are very expensive.

jetstar and tiger timing are not bad, compared to scoot

scoot timing s not good
depart 1.30am, land 5am
then back time is land Singapore 10.30am

bad: scoot have some tendencies to delay the flight , happened to me few times already, hence if can choose, would fly with jetstar and not scoot

good: their hand carry luggage is 10kg.
scoot flight is more comfortable compared to jetstar and tiger
scoot is one of the few airline that have promo even for public holiday or sch holiday period, which is good
scoot always have promo for hk, maybe timing not good, not much ppl take

November no guarantee cool weather. Lol. Like last year. Freak weather sia. Only started cooling down when in December, then January onwards is cooling/cold.

I hate the freezing feeling of the wind, but at the same time it feels shiok, haha.

I don't have pain, so I guess you have dry skin? Must spam moisturizer if got, if not sure pain.

November no guarantee cool weather. Lol. Like last year. Freak weather sia. Only started cooling down when in December, then January onwards is cooling/cold.

not as cold as mar though ...
went dec xmas before, skin start to flark lol
maybe no put moisturizer lol

so learnt my lesson already ... when going seoul last year, start to put lots of moisturizer
cox was -5 degree that time ...

wasted one nite hotel stay

depart from hk: 0650 - 1030

went to hk dec few yrs back by scoot
cox their sales was travel in dec
can fly xmas to new year ...
so happily book @ 120sgd
then go there like zombie lol ...
hotel oni let us check in at 1pm ...
from 7am when we reached hotel, till 1pm, we r just anyhow walk
most shop haven open yet ...
tat time was kinda cold, since is xmas period ...

then checked out at 3am
took a21 from mongkok to airport ...
reached airport 4.30am
super long queue, many "zombie" queue up at scoot counter
some slept on the sitting area ...
