Hello,

I have a question on HLE loan.
My HLE was granted at $613K, on day of usage;

1. Will they deduct my OA from this loan amount?
2. Flat selection and key collection should be within the period before this first HLE expires, do they need re-application of HLE? I saw from other posts that there is normally the 2nd HLE?

Thanks,

Hi...can anyone help? thanks =)

Grant cannot cause neither of you have worked for continuous 12 months.

Hello!

We got our BTO a few years back. That time I wasn't working. we only got 290k loan out of a 500k bto flat.

The TOP should be next year. But now our income has crossed the ceiling. Will we still be able to get a new HLE even if our income is higher than ceiling? Or must we (1) keep to 290k loan or (2) get a bank loan?

Thank you so much!

A new HLE will be done.

Thanks @GeraldineT. Does it mean that we can still get a HDB loan when the BTO is ready, even if our incomes crossed the ceiling?

Thank you!

For hdb loan If I'm not wrong if u never applied during first appointment then it's auto u are on bank loan.

If u did apply before. Then now income exceed, this one I not sure. But I would think it's possible? Update me if u know the answer. I think call and ask better

For signing of lease agreement back then, it's either hle or banks approval in principle letter..

Since his initial hle is not enough and now income has exceeded, hdb will do another assessment based on max qualified income..if they don't, ask them to reassess you..

If one has opt for bank loan during signing of lease agreement years back then now also bank loan..downpayment is not the same for bank loans.bank loan is 20% dp of which 15% max from cpf and 5% must be cash...

Can anyone help.

bto is Feb 2017.
My partner has 12 months consecutive work from Jan 2017 and 11 months before.
My job is only April 2017 to appointment date onwards..

If my partner resign in July, am I still eligible for the grant?

Our appointment is in september.

Technically the grant will only take into account the 12 months before flat application but if I nv rem wrongly, they did mention about being in employment during selection? But imho, would still be eligible, can just say looking for new opportunities anyway since the required income slip is presented..

That's what I thought so just seeing if anyone did the same also.
Cause eligibility would be 1 person 12 months working before bto date right? Then the actual grant would be income again

2 The eligibility for Additional Housing Grant (AHG) and/or Special Housing Grant (SHG) is assessed at the point of flat application. The AHG and SHG amount will depend on your average gross monthly household income for the past 12 months preceding your flat application. You may wish to know that the SHG is applicable only to buying a 4-room or smaller flat in the non-mature estates.

3 If buyers apply to buy a flat in the Feb 2017 BTO exercise and wish to apply for the AHG and/or SHG, one of them must be working continuously from Feb 2016 to Jan 2017 and remain employed in Feb 2017. They need to submit their income documents for the period Feb 2016 to Feb 2017 to assess their eligibility for the grant.

4 You may request for the AHG and/or SHG if your partner meets the employment criteria for the grant, even if you did not meet the continuous employment requirement. However, although you did not meet the requirement, your income for the past one year period is taken into consideration to compute the average gross monthly household income to determine the amount of grant you are eligible to.

So my partner has continuously worked for 12 months.

Hi guys. I asked this in another thread before I found this one. Just want to ask. Back when I applied for hle for the first time, I got a 150k home loan back when I was studying and gf was starting work. Currently was given notice to collect my keys next week and it states I have to top up cash of 20k but I realised that was still based on a home loan of 150k.exact same amount as before. Do I need to reapply for hdb loan on myself before my key collection or they will automatically reassess for me during the key collection appointment itself? Abit worried here cause I don't have 20k to burn.

Your HLE should have expired by now. Apply for a new one online so you can use that instead. After knowing your new loan amount, I suggest you email your CSO and attach the new HLE, so he/she can recalculate the amount you have to top up. Hope it works out for you! :)

See that's the thing. We got a letter that told us to review our approved our HLE and it seems that they extended the validity date automatically. As of now, they are using my first HLE which is a paltry 150k. It didn't occur to us that we have to reapply the HLE when we got that letter (too busy to notice or care by my partner and I, so kinda dropped the ball on that one). Our key collection date is 25/5 so is it possible to still reach out to HDB or the CSO to reapply?

It's possible to delay key collection. HLE can be approved in less than a week, so you may still be able to collect your keys on time. I suggest you call your CSO and get his advice. He/She will know best.

Hi guys, do you know how long it takes for the HLE to be approved? Going for selection mid July and have gotten letter from HDB asking us to apply for HLE a few weeks ago, but we are hoping to wait until end of May to apply because my gf just started work a few months ago and will only have 3 months worth of salary/CPF for the HLE by end of May. Is it enough time if we apply end of May or should we apply HLE letter now?

thanks for the replies nestr_sg

ours expiring soon so I would need to reapply. just that my partner wants to change job soon after reapplying hle but we're not sure after applying will they check again for flat selection or further down the road.

we're ok with the loan amount just scared later if she change her job will it be possible the reject our hle? even if we're into flat selection stage?

Hi Enzo, me and my wife are facing the same issue as you, may I know how is your case now? Did HDB check your partner's working status again when you selected flats and down the road? Thanks!
