2 The eligibility for Additional Housing Grant (AHG) and/or Special Housing Grant (SHG) is assessed at the point of flat application. The AHG and SHG amount will depend on your average gross monthly household income for the past 12 months preceding your flat application. You may wish to know that the SHG is applicable only to buying a 4-room or smaller flat in the non-mature estates.
3 If buyers apply to buy a flat in the Feb 2017 BTO exercise and wish to apply for the AHG and/or SHG, one of them must be working continuously from Feb 2016 to Jan 2017 and remain employed in Feb 2017. They need to submit their income documents for the period Feb 2016 to Feb 2017 to assess their eligibility for the grant.
4 You may request for the AHG and/or SHG if your partner meets the employment criteria for the grant, even if you did not meet the continuous employment requirement. However, although you did not meet the requirement, your income for the past one year period is taken into consideration to compute the average gross monthly household income to determine the amount of grant you are eligible to.
So my partner has continuously worked for 12 months.
