Okay i went to checked, the 2nd extension was about 3weeks. The validity date changed to end of the month.

Is your key collection date within this 3 weeks? So looks like HDB will extend the validity of the HLE if there is a delay to PCD/key collection date?

Definitely within as my collection date is July, even my original HLE validity(Sep) was within. That's why I also not sure why they extend.

If you worry HLE expire before key collection, I suggest to re-apply again closer to date. From my experience, they do not extend HLE validity (I guess ** period was an exception as their counters were all closed).

Pls joint application for a hdb flat with your dad with one child (either yourself or sibling). Do not both put siblings name as owner into the flat.

You will have a hard time removing your name if you want to get a flat with spouse in future.

The sibling whose name is not inside the flat, contribute some cash to the flat.

Pls save yourself from future trouble.

Hi all,

Just wanted to check, if when applying for HLE and they ask for me 3 months of payslip but the latest month I don't have a payslip due to changing of job or retrenched, would there be a high chance of it not being approved? Thanks!

If changing job, they will give u another 3 months to submit your latest 3 months payslips.

Take my example, can't remember the details. I left my job in Oct and my flat selection was in Nov and new job starts on Dec. I applied HLE and failed.

I checked with HDB and told to go down to do my BTO flat selection. After selection, went to the finance dept and submitted all the documents including my new job offered letter.

HDB emailed me to submit my pay slips for Dec, Jan and Feb. I submitted my pay slips and received email that my HLE was approved. Followed by EHG approval and appointment to sign the lease agreement.

Thanks...I guess it would be more problematic if I were to lose my job instead

Scenario:
- Couple applying $400k BTO under fiance-fiancee scheme
- One worked for >1 year, gross $2.5k
- One schooling, will start work in 1 year's time

Am I right to say that
a. EHG will be calculated based on current income (approx $75k)
b. HLE will also be calculated based on current income (max $165k according to HDB calculator - this means we'll need to pay $160k in cash)
c. Upon key collection, we can apply for a second HLE based on our combined incomes at that point? Assuming a combined income of $5k, we'll be eligible for a $330k loan. But will this reduce our EHG?

Thanks in advance.

Hi. Nerd here. Just want to enquire. I have worked full time with CPF contribution for 6 months. Am I elgible for HLE? I'm a bit confused. Cause they required 3 months payslip and also 15 month CPF statement. I have to work more than 3 months or 15 months continuously to get HLE?

Hello, does anyone have any insight to these 2 enquiries? I'm in a similar situation as well and I'd like to know more about it!

1. Are the grants computed at the time of the first HLE (or will it be varied when you apply for the second HLE near the date of key collection)?

2. Will a HLE be granted to a fresh graduate who has worked for at least 3 months?

Thanks!

Hi guys, how do HDB determine the loan for someone holding two jobs?

As self employed, about $5k a month or $60k per annum. Understand for self employed 70% only and will require bank statement. Plus as an employee with CPF contributions at $3k a month. Is it $8k per month or $6.5k (after 70% calculation as self employed). Amount listed here is just an example. Thanks!

No penalty.

As long new HLE is in time to meet the timeline ,
and the max loan amount is still able to cover the outstanding amount after u had utilize all (HDB grant + cpf ordinary account + cash).

If not enough to cover , then any amount outstanding must be payable in cash.

If not willing to pay cash, or no cash, you are liable to be sue by seller for not completing the deal. (assuming u already paid 2nd deposit and exercised the OTP).

Hi all,
I got a qns: what should i do if my first appeal to HDB regarding my HLE increment was rejected? I already confirm buyer of a 3-Room flat but silly me, my HLE is short of ard 20K. I already submited all my latest payslips and CPF contribution but they say cannot. I have been employed under the same company for ard 5yrs and i dont understand why got rejected. My HLE is expiring soon, and im afraid i will get a lower amt on my next application. Anyone got same issue? What should i do? Would asking MP to help appeal make it worse?

Salary increase by alot?

If about the same, no reason why they will suka suka increase 20k just for you?

Take note as u get older, loan duration become shorter and thus maybe loan amount smaller.

Your question is a bit vague as no info on your age, salary changes by how much.

I understand 20k maybe a big sum of cash to you, worse case scenario take a personal loan from relatives, friends and try to repay it ASAP.

I doubt MP can help much on HLE loan matter. They can't override your maximum loan amount as it's calculated based on their own system so that a buyer will not over stretch their financial means.

Good luck.
Sorry can't be of much help.

Hi all, I also have question.

My wife is Singapore PR, from Malaysia.
Have bank loan and house name in Malaysia under her name and her mom & sister.
Before applying for HLE, is it a must to remove her name in Malaysia? How about bank loan name?
And if remove already, need to wait 30 months before can apply for HLE?
Wanting to apply for HDB loan but need to get the HLE first..

Name must be out of ownership of any pte property anywhere in the world, before you buy a resale hdb.

Apply HLE, not sure that declaration is important or not. Anyway once u declare pte property ownership u can't even apply a HLE. So up to your discretion you want to try (of course put no pte property then can go through) and have a gauge of your max loan.

Best scenario settle wife msia property ownership first then do anything else.

Agree to settle the msia property. When u endorse or agree to the T&C even via online, the govt trusts that u complied with them.

If one fine day, they find out u breach the T&C then u will need a lot of lucks. They will definitely come hard on u.

Some will take the risk and telling themselves, won't check or so unlucky but u never know. :s8:

Hi, for employed persons, HDB still want bank statement. If bank not much money, will it affect the loan quantum?
