P20 pro pros:
Excellent battery life of 4000 mah
Excellent camera
Ui is snappy. Doesn't lag
Good build quality in the hands
Soc kirin 970 capable enough (can match sd 835 but lose abit)
2 years warranty
Fast updates
Service centre at somerset 313
Cons:
Resell value not really good
Resolution only FHD+
Design wise the solid home button with a notch screen weird combination (personal preference)
S9 plus pros:
Good camera
Display is excellent
Top soc sd 845 or the exynos variant (there's talk about exynos chip having severe battery drain but not the snap dragon chip)
Have 2 stereo speakers
Ip68 certified
Cons
Poor battery life (3-5 hrs soc)
The infinity display breaks easily
The build quality at the back feels hollow in the hands (my preference)
What does this means?
In terms of battery life, It's a trade off between display and battery
Excellent display will have poor battery life
Poor display will have excellent battery life
This can be solved by portable battery chargers. Personally I prefer display resolution above FHD+
But be careful about buying s9 plus. S9 with the Exynos chip have severe battery drain, as several articles have warned
Performance wise, don't worry huawei p20 pro is good. I'm still using mate 9 and it is snappy still
