Honor 400 Series

How's the performance of the Honor - since my PIXEL 8 PRO can tahan till about 2030.
I may not want to switch to the 10 just yet to save.
With my current plan, may get it for almost free.
Since pixel 12 or more would be out in 2028 or later, hopefully it will get better specs.

I don't game so I can't comment on that part but day to day usage is smooth. The AI feature is a hit and miss though.

Yes, I am using Honor 400 non pro, I can use it one hand without problem.

Battery life and performance is good, battery life is on par with my FX8P, performance wise I found it's smoother in FX8P. Of course it's not an apple to apple comparison, but I only have FX8P to compare Some small issues:
- Timer is not repeatable, quite annoying
- Audio via BT earpiece, encounter few distortion or sudden no audio for few seconds during train journey, particularly when the train stopped, not sure how is it related to the train lol
- AI notes/recorder - AI summary is slow compared to FX8P, not sure if it's the SoC or other factors, it can't transcribe more than 50mins recording and AI summary will fail if there's a sensitive info in the recording, lol not sure how they determine it. No such issue in FX8P
- Icon gaps quite big and drawer is not customisable, e.g. hide apps, etc

Checked battery usage? Don't get you. Sorry.
You can try go to settings and search for "manage automatically". Uncheck for Teams.

btw just find it weird (is it me only ?) : that the photo gallery group by month or year. when by month, it clutter my 2025 May photos and 2025 May photos together. Not able to arrange by dates

I also initially struggled with officemail using Outlook. I add the account into Outlook and also install Intune. After a few hours or overnight, it will say sign-in fail. I did not have the same problem with my office team app. It will ask me to sign in with pwd again.

After a few days of frustration, I noted that Outlook was failing during authentication. So I install Microsoft Authenticator. Every time I get Outlook sign-in failure, I will close the app and open Microsoft Authenticator. Then I open Outlook app again and it will open without issue.

I assumed that the Honor software is not clearing some memory. By opening Microsoft Authenticator, it is helping to establish some form of refresh.

It has been working for me since. About two weeks now.
