Nope. I have both the magic 7 Pro and the 400 Pro currently, and compared it. Lol I'm such an Honor fanboy😉

The former gives notes on 3D face recognition whereas the 400 Pro is only statement on face recognition and it states it's not as secure as the 3D version.
What's the difference between honor m7p and 400? Battery life and Camera m7p better?

Not sure if this helps.

I also initially struggled with officemail using Outlook. I add the account into Outlook and also install Intune. After a few hours or overnight, it will say sign-in fail. I did not have the same problem with my office team app. It will ask me to sign in with pwd again.

After a few days of frustration, I noted that Outlook was failing during authentication. So I install Microsoft Authenticator. Every time I get Outlook sign-in failure, I will close the app and open Microsoft Authenticator. Then I open Outlook app again and it will open without issue.

I assumed that the Honor software is not clearing some memory. By opening Microsoft Authenticator, it is helping to establish some form of refresh.

It has been working for me since. About two weeks now.
An update on my earlier workaround.

It stopped working last week. No matter the number of times I execute microsoft authenicator, the sign-in still failed. Almost wanted to throw the trash out.

It works when I delete the Outlook app and reinstall again (with new account setup). Next day it stopped working again. I uninstalled Microsoft Authenicator. After several rounds of testing, the following now works for me.

1. Goto Setting > Battery > App Launch.
2. Set Company Portal (Intune) to Manage Manually.
3. Do the same for Outlook.

Matter of fact, do this for any app where you want it to continue to run in background mode.

My conclusion. Honor seemed to be very aggressive in background app management. It will kill apps that runs in the background. When I start Outlook, it needs to authenicate my fingerprint. The fingerpint function does not appear and hence the sign-in failed. By allowing Intune to run on background, the fingerprint function is now appearing whenever I open the Outlook app (after a prolonged period). I now can start Outlook with no issue.

Email notification delay. Team message delay etc. Is still happening. China brands of phone aren't doing so well with Microsoft apps. Want to use iphone for work purpose, better to use an iphone.

Update:
Cannot uninstall Microsoft Authenicator. I had to reinstall it back and set it to manage manually. Will monitor to see if problem is resolved.

FYI. I refer to work account that require Company Portal Intune app installed. I am using Honor 400.

Update 2:
Even reinstalling Microsoft authenticator did not solve my syncing problem. After reinstalling my work account on my Outlook app, I was able to receive emails. This morning the sync stopped again. I can tell because I have another iPhone that also setup with my work account.

Update 3:
It has been a few days now and my outlook mail sync (and team msg sync) is working again. What fixed the problem. Still the same solution. I need to set 'Manage Manually' for all the apps that I need. Meaning Company Portal Intune, Microsoft Authenicator, Outlook, Teams and even my OKTA app. To recap, I had 2 problem with my work account. The first problem is when I open the app, it will say sign in failed. Reason is because the app is unable to call the fingerprint for authenication. After solving the problem, the next issue is syncing of mails. It won't sync after a day. All resolved after setting the required apps to manage manually. Delay in receiving email and team msgs is still happening but that is mangeable. My work are not time sensitively.

Strange. I'm using honor 200 Pro. Have not encountered such problems so far with my outlook or ms authenticator.

For work phone, please use iPhone, followed by Samsung & Pixel.
Integration with intune is very much better and smoother.
Honor is still considered as Huawei not advisable to use it as work phone.

I moved from Xiaomi Phone to Samsung Phone. Each brand three years. Then I decided to try a different brand. Hence I landed on Honor 400. Sometime got problem then make life a bit more fun. Each brand have their own challenges. Including iphone. For example, I prefer dual physical sim. iPhone cannot.

  • Dual Physical SIMs: iPhones sold in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao have a tray that can hold two physical nano-SIM cards. This is the only regional variant that comes with a dual physical SIM setup.

I have no issue with OnePlus. Intune is actually a POS.

Correction: Honor and Huawei are separate companies now.

Have you seen those failed case before?
Personally I have seen minimum 3 cases.
If you want to try, go ahead.
Your money, your time, your frustration, your choice.

This phone not suitable for work phone usage. You want to use as work phone, then Samsung, Pixel, Vivo, Xiaomi will have great compatibility.

As personal phone, it is great.
