I don't have the Mi Max 3 already so can't do a 1 to 1 comparison. Since both Mi Max 3 and Honor 8x Max have the SD636 processor, gaming performance should be quite similar.

Software wise, typical Chinese apps but most can be uninstalled. Google Play Store and apps downloaded there work perfectly fine.

i see. but i have not tried huawei UI b4 but should not be too bloated right? since u said mostly can be uninstalled. but is the OS taking a huge space on 64GB?

Yes I uninstalled most of them.

Currently having 47GB left after installing 3 big games (~1GB each) and some apps.

One new thing I noticed is that the sound is pretty good. Speakers on top and bottom which means you get stereo sound when gaming/watching videos in landscape mode.

Similar to earlier Honor Note 10, Tmall global shop shd have tis 8x/8x Max model soon for direct shipping to sg.. or just wait for the local set by Honor Sg as someone mentioned it earlier on.

taobao got 8x at 1399rmb and 8x max at 1499rmb

I saw local selling soon but i think Huawei price quiet standard coz i check Nova3i selling about same price in China and Sg sia

It has some models for Honor, Xiaomi and so on, with free shipping or ard RMB20 from time to time .. Its pricing for new product will be jack up a bit then back to normal and drop after few weeks eg, Honor note 10 6+128GB fr RMB3299 -> RMB 2899 ..if cant put into shopping cart/place order - product no stock/not really listed yet, and need SG shipping address..n you can return faulty set locally as stated in their website.

If local set (global version) is available soon with no big diff on $ (<$50) then better wait for it.
