Sg is on FDD LTE B3,B7 and B8 aka 1800, 2600, 900

As known, most Honor PRC version wont have 2600 (FDD LTE B7), only global version will have B7 (thus ppl rebrand the PRC version ..now seems unlikely as Huawei already ceased their official bootloader unlock code application)... so long it has FDD LTE B3 and B8 then can work here (Singtel, M1, Starhub carries B7 and one/two of the rest band) ..

Only see fr other forum ppl stated that it has LTE FDD:B1/B3/B5/B8

The linked article says the 6+64 with SD660 will be released in early Oct.... Wow... maybe I should wait?????

Nope I got someone from China to help me buy and ship back. 4GB/64Gb around $330, no GST.

Ezbuy easily $360 considering someone paid almost $100 extra to ship the Honor Note 10 back.

Initial impressions so far:

Beautiful screen and premium build quality! Definitely doesn't feel like a $300 phone, comparable to the Honor 8 Pro which I used for a while.

Dual SIM + standalone MicroSD slot is a plus. Not sure why Mi Max 3 cannot include this, given its size.

No issues with connectivity, getting 4G with Circles Life.

Camera quality isn't great in low light, probably due to lack of OIS.

Lack of Widevine L1 is a big disappointment, videos from Netflix wouldn't stream at 1080p. Otherwise it would have been excellent for media consumption.

I've tried the Mi Max 3 for a while and it's a good device, but this one's overall better.

I don't have the Mi Max 3 already so can't do a 1 to 1 comparison. Since both Mi Max 3 and Honor 8x Max have the SD636 processor, gaming performance should be quite similar.

Software wise, typical Chinese apps but most can be uninstalled. Google Play Store and apps downloaded there work perfectly fine.
