Got a JB Honor M5P. Also using China rom Oppo Find X6 Pro w/Google Play store. After setting up and using all morning, initial feel is:

1) no VoLTE on Circles.Life but that's known issue for now
2) feels very much like a Huawei phone, from apps, interface, thematic naming. Very similar feel to my old P30Pro.
3) Google integration just works, AOD, notifications, GPay, Singpass etc
4) camera is interesting. Initial impressions was that Oppo X6P was better. But after taking more side by side, it's a toss up. Sometimes M5P is better, sometimes X6P is better. Will use more over the weekend and see.
5) physical build. M5P is shorter than X6P. Feels more balanced in the hand when using 1 handed, less top heavy. Camera bump not as pronounced as well.

Currently on 7.1.0.129 ROM w/ Feb security patch

Am using GIGA, no VOLTE also. Phone itself is great, feels very solid in the hand, amazing audio and camera.

Seamless transfer of accounts with Google during setup, and then used Device Clone to transfer all the apps, files and settings etc. They say Device Clone is for Honor only, but worked perfectly with the Phone Clone feature on my Huawei LOL. Huawei users can rejoice.

Hi, any idea where to get this phone? Where is the Honor shop located in SG?

It's not released in SG. Thus for the sources which you get from locally will either be China set or Global set from Malaysia.

Oh.... then if phone got problems where to get it service?
bring back to JB lor?

stop obsessing with the "SG set with SG warranty is king" mindset. SG service centers are terrible, even the Apple Store has gone down in standards.

Have you even read all the horror stories at Samsung service centers? Unless your device has a serious, major "problem" like it died 6 months in (and even so good luck for the service center to try to deflect), you hardly get coverage.

Screen has green lines, etc.? Forget it, it's user problem.

TLDR; stop circlejerking the SG warranty mentality. The only good thing about local sets is the network bands and VoLTE stuff should work (then again not 100%)... jesus, boomers are so exhausting./

Dont have a 5g plan to test with unfortunately. Hoping other people with existing 5g plans will be able to test. In theory should work as the phone supports the bands used in sg.

You are wrong, as far i Knew it is now telecom controlling what phone can use 5G. That why got a list of phones compatible to use their 5G network. As Honor is not even sold in SG, therefore by default don't think telecom so eng enable it to work.

Many years back, my gf bought a Samsung A3 phone. The phone was overheating badly in the first few months of usage, she bought to service centre and luckily they changed Batt for her FOC, no questions asked as its under warranty.
