Not sure of Honor Magic Air as it is for China market (no news on global market), so don't know will it have GMS like those China ROM version which sold globally but yet can easily enable GMS.

so far not news about selling on globally. thinking to buy one air for backup phone.
I am using M8p now. happy with the phone but if can one smaller phone as back up also good.
so far looking around i think 8 pro air is the best option in the range.

is the notification working properly? I going china next month, thinking to get one too

No issues less that for some apps like gmail & telegram, the unread badge does not show. I am unsure why (even after clearing cache and reinstalling). The other like TikTok, WhatsApp, FB, works well for me. I do get notified of new messages, just no badge on the app icons.

then ok, as long still able to get notification, android auto and google wallet working then good to go.
I will get one this month when I go china.

I am using honor magic 8 pro currently, love the phone but getting another side phone with small size and weight.

Been using it for the past month. All is good less the gallery ai edit. Keep getting network errors. I think it a known drawback as the phone needs to access the china servers for that to work.

Other than that all is working very well for me.

Just an update. Used my expressvpn and set it to Macau and all the ai edit worked like a charm.

I love the form factor and weight. Just have to get use to less screen estate coming from a foldable. But I feel that it would be a great side phone.
