Honor recently showcased the Magic8 Pro in a green color option as well. The Pro model also gets a dedicated AI button and a flat design.

The Honor Magic8 series will be powered by the recently launched Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and will come with several new AI features including the YoYo assistant. The Pro variant will offer a 200MP periscope telephoto camera.

Honor Magic 8 and Pro smartphones will likely launch this month. Before all these releases, Honor Magic 8 Ultra is already gaining attention for a brand-new OmniVision OV50R main camera. Yes, the device could be the first to use this camera sensor.
As noted by DigitalChatStation, the OmniVision OV50R camera sensor will enter mass production stage in the first quarter of 2026. This tipster asked its followers which could be the first smartphone brand to use the new creation.
Certain netizens pointed out the Honor Magic 8 Ultra as the first handset to sport the OV50R as the main camera. The device is expected to debut in the first half of next year. Hence, it seems the right and first choice for this imaging technology.
Now let’s talk about the new camera sensor – OV50R will debut as a primary lens for smartphones. It is a 50MP sensor with a 1/1.3-inch format and 1.2µm pixel units.
The respective camera sensor provides 100% QPD (Quad Phase Detection) capability. Thus, one can expect more accurate and swifter autofocus operation while capturing pics.

downside of global set
https://www.theverge.com/news/799808/honor-magic-8-pro-launch-china-specs-release-date
Outside of China, things will be a little different though: the global version of the Pro’s battery will be a fraction smaller at 7,100mAh, with EU markets getting an even smaller (though honestly, still enormous) 6,270mAh battery, most likely thanks to the international shipping regulations around batteries. Charging will differ a little too, with a 120W max wired speed in China, and 100W PPS support elsewhere — and up to 80W wireless supported everywhere, albeit only if you use Honor’s own charger.
