Dont think not having the pen is a dealbreaker. Frankly if the phone is not designed to store the pen inside itself, you are going to lose it

Surprised to know fold 5 now can get about 1700-1800 new on those local shops. Then again it has been more or less the same phone since fold 2/3 and the narrow outer screen just doesnt cut it now with the competition

For Fold 5, you need to consider the additional $ for the care+ which is kind of covered in the V2 pre-order pricing.

The warranty given is also just for 1st year sc+. For samsung 2nd year sc+ is the main reason for people to get it.

Even though i am strong supporter of Samsung and uses many of its products, i always feel care+ is presented with a very marketing gimmick.

Initially we need to pay 150+ for the fold 5 care+. For 1st time issue, its flat 100$ for Fold 5 and second time onwards 50% discount on the total charge. Say if they quote 700 for inner screen and then you pay 350.. Which i dont like as they can quote any price and we cant do anything about it.

Frankly speaking i buy sc+ is not for the screen damage. It's more for the once annual on site battery replacement which no other brand does without data loss.

Where to pre order? In terms of best offer/deal.

Don't take me wrong, I have the care plus for both my s23 plus and ultra

But In my opinion for foldables we still need some sort of screen protection plan as the tech is not fully matured for daily abuse without any worry. So in the use case Samsung care plus is not very attractive..
