Is the thickness of PU Leather is less than Glass Back? I know its 5gm lighter but not sure abt thickness.

I read somewhere that PU Leather is 9.9mm and Glass one is 10.1mm
Yes thinner, see below which I extracted from Honor webby:

1Data from HONOR labs. Based on the lightest version which comes in a vegan leather back. The glass back version weighs 237g. Total weight includes battery. Actual weight may vary due to product configurations, manufacturing processes, and measuring methods.

2Data from HONOR labs. Based on the slimmest version which comes in a vegan leather back. The glass back version thin as 10.1mm. The thickness of the whole device is measured at the thinnest point and does not include the thickness of the camera bump. Product size may vary with its configuration, manufacturing process and measurement methods. Specification details are for reference only.

I need tempered glass for front screen, any recommendation?

actually most are more or less the same. curved on 1 side, and blackened edge all around.

1 thing to note is that, the TGSP are likely to be sticky on the screen side, so you really need to be very precise in sticking the first time. if you attempt a 2nd time, most likely there will be bubble, which will be impossible to remove.

i ordered 7, 5 arrived, used 1, 2 on transit. if anyone want, i can pass 2 or 3 to you guys.

but need to pick up near my place.

anyone got recommendation for casing that cover the spine?

i ordered the sticker, but it seems the gap are so tight, that whenever the phone is open, it will peel the spine sticker.

Anyone tried the google pay /paywave? How is the phone handling default payment without activating wallets? Eg. Boarding mrt/bus do you have to screen on / unfold phone? Some users of other foldables complain about default NFC payment activating before.

The google assistant can be invoked by swiping up the bottom corner (either left or right) from the home screen.

How's your experience with the TGSP? good, bad, mediocre?

For me, I'm rather hesitant to get any TGSP if I need to apply a front case. Some of the third party TGSP may interfere with the fringe of the case. So it is either you apply and use w/o a front case or get one with a so-called TGSP pre-installed on a case. In my experience, this type of TGSP is not really good when it comes to feel.

i have always been a tgsp person, i just need to have it to make myself feel secure. i have not broken any phone screen before, and its always the tgsp that break first.

you are right that the front case interfering the slide in. but both front case that i had gotten, it has a cut out at the slide in/up position to allow your finger to slide in easily.

anyway, the front case is easily broken on the left side, as the strip of plastic is kinda thin.

so far i havent try the 1 piece case+tgsp, but if my front case keeps on breaking, i'll probably give it a try.

i found that the case given by honor in the box is very useful when the phone is opened up.

the spine flap acts as an addtional grip or stopper when u rotate the phone physically with the camera side back in the lower half.

Agree. Is your V2 the PU or glass type?
