Most of the videos I've watched don't really showcase the multitasking. Are there like gesture shortcuts to activate split screen or pop up view?

Screen wise, when unfold on YouTube, confirm bigger den fold 6.. Because my s24u full screen already bigger den fold 6.. That's 1 of the reason why I didn't get the fold 6. And of course because of the thickness of the fold la. But if you want something that works but is boring, fold 6 is a safe choice.

already on the fold 6 atm, recently swap from 15pm, so far so good, probably the only foldable that didn't make me go back to iOS. Even find n3 fold i gave up

thats ok i guess, i'm quite reliant on the gesture shortcut from goodlock.

Only issue preventing me from getting v3 is the 60hz web browsing. Anyone fixed that issue yet? (other than forcing 120hz all the time)

Anyone switch from a Fold 6? How's the experience so far? Am thinking of switching but not sure if I'll miss stuff from the fold that's not available on the magic v3
I have both and contemplating to keep the V3 or offload it. The major quirks for me are
  1. Still Prefer One UI. Its more polished or refined
  2. Samsung Pay. My company or corporate card is Maybank and its supported only through Samsung Wallet. Somehow Google wallet doesn't support the Maybank card.
  3. Modes and Routines. With Samsung Pay is i can just tap and pay. No need to enable NFC for payment.. But google wallet needs NFC to be turned on. So, i have set up a routine to enable NFC when open Google wallet and off once i close the app. Like this i have many automations set up.
  4. Doesn't play well with Galaxy Watches. I have around 4 watches and it always disconnects every now and then.. Also, when i switch to a different watch, it doesn't auto connect. Need to go and manually connect through Bluetooth or watch manager.
  5. Somehow for my usage (just Chat, browsing, movies and reading) Fold 6 battery life is better
  6. Again, my primary phone is always smaller S24, In my use case for the foldable device is only when i need bigger screen. So the narrow cover screen is comfortable to hold when just carrying and when unfolded my hand covers majority of the back part and thus gives me a very secured grip.. Just to let you know, i am using the fold 6 naked. Just transparent skin only.
  7. If you have invested in the Samsung Eco system then it gives you added advantage. Example, my buds 3 pro auto connects automatically when i open the fold and start watching and whenever a call comes, it auto connects to the S24..
  8. Customization through Goodlock.. Since you use Samsung, i guess you're are well aware of the potential.

Yeah may be i have forced set the refresh rate as 120hz as the dynamic refresh rate is buggy.. That could be a major reason why the battery life is subpar in the V3.

my main concern was software usability too, most android software is quite crappy compared to iOS and oneui i can still tahan.

You mean you switch off your NFC? didn't realize samsung pay works without nfc being turned on
I'm not invested in the samsung ecosystem, only got a pair of cheap buds pro 2 and the stylus for the fold6 as i need to sign stuff regularly

It was auto enabled and the app kept exiting. Then based on your idea, I disable it and it's fine now.

I always keep my NFC and Locations off. I never switch on NFC before using for transport or payment.

For those who play mlbb and find the controller at extreme corner hard to control, u can still play in other screen orientation ..switch to "force device orientation with original protrait ratio" .

The game can be played with the phone upright and the controller will have more space for thumb to move around.

NiI'm considering switching from the Oppo Find N3 Fold to the Honor Magic V3 due to its slimmer design.

Has anyone made a similar transition? Is it worth it?

My primary concern is that while I can feel the Magic V3 without a case in the store and it seems much thinner, I'm unsure how much thicker it becomes with a case. If the difference is minimal, it might defeat the purpose of switching. Has anyone experienced this and regretted their decision because the size or thickness felt similar once a case was added?
U like that ask means u not very keen on v3
Loads of ppl here owned/own n2 n3 V2 V3 X fold mi mix fold Mate X2.

If the thinness is what u are looking for, get the rear CF casing and it'll still be thinner than N3. No Regrets whatsoever.i personally goes raw.

But the UI is what you'll have to get used to transitioning from OneUI to MagicOS. After all, all android are same same but diff

I find it not as polished as one ui... Photos tend to be brighter.. Some bugs like the whatsapp voice recorder cannot record, need to restart phone (but could be me only).. Other than these quirks.. I thinks it's a damn fine phone. Personally didn't experience the battery drain issue like what some bro here kena.. In fact I feel the battery same as my s24u..

no issues with Whatsapp.

lol unnecessary automations. gpay has a transaction limit which blocks transaction without authorization/verification.

if you say you use automations to switch sounds mode on location, display timeout on Samsung Dex, input switching on orientation, then it makes more sense. nfc itself especially gpay is secure enough to not be of a concern.

also it's unfortunate that gpay doesn't support maybank cards. Samsung pay doesn't support wise, revolut or youtrip and some other cards. ever since the removal or decommission of Samsung MST, Samsung pay is useless except for the Galaxy watch, since it's tightly integrated with Samsung, Samsung pay on the watch is more seamless than google wallet on the watch

for me i am good.. most of the function i need and use on Z fold 6 i can perform in V3.

i still have a zfold 5 so can say software experience is samsung better but V3 is not far behind too much...

especially when u unfold and use inner screen for playing and watching u will appreciate more how big thin and light it is.

cover screen i like both, i like slim for one handed on z fold 6 but i also appreciate bigger typing area of v3 so no difference for me.

if i really need to choose one phone only cannot have both i will painfully choose z fold 6, mainly samsung pay more convinient for transit. and it allow set diff card as transit and payment. gpay only can set 1 as default.. end up i have to set default transit card and when pay open g pay to select other card or use my iphone instead.

the samsung point also, if i use samsung pay i earn point if i stop i lose my gold level plus inside got over 120k point cannot redeem without an samsung phone, cant even do from website.

then lastly my Galaxy watch, i stop wearing since i am using v3 mainly because losing function.. i know got work around but update may brick the function and need to re do again.

Interesting. Since i usually use niagara launcher i'm hoping software wise won't be too far away from oneui. Only issue left for me is probably the refresh rate on browser issue, not sure if i can tahan 60hz browsing haha
