Honor Magic V3

During the setup, I connected my V3 to my Samsung S21.

After the sync, i opened my V3 and realized many saved contacts are gone. I guess it has to do with my saving of contacts in my google account.

But I have already activated all my gmail and google accounts on the V3.

What should i do to get back all my contacts again?

May i ask what's defect you had with MagicPad 2. I also bought one but still haven't used it as waiting for screen protector. Wanted to check and make sure mine is not affected also.

A bit disappointed that palm gesture doesn't work if I use rear camera to take selfie with front screen preview. Both Oppo and Samsung allow you to show your palm to trigger the shutter.

Just went to the Service Centre, confirm is not haptic feedback and not normal. They are doing 1-1 replacement for me. Suggest you get yours checked out if having the same issue.

First time visiting Honor service centre, nice people at the service centre.

Good to know that they do HONOUR their warranty terms..

It does actually. Make sure smart gestures all turned on like another bro mentioned, and make sure you are waving to the left (rear) instead of the selfie (right). There's a total of 5 cameras (3 back, 2 selfie outer and inner).

Yes, its a competitive price but i guess some bro's here got even cheaper from DVTech and LadyBoss..

But i got my Fold 6 even cheaper than the Magic V3. I got from Shopee during the 9.9 sale also.

1. Open the phone (unfold), start Camera, go to PORTRAIT mode.
2. Click on Settings, under Smart Capture I turned on everything. (But I noticed under Gesture Control, it says "Supported on the front camera only".
3. Click on "Cover Preview" icon
4. Turn the phone around, so that the rear camera is facing me, and I can see the cover preview on the front screen
5. Tried showing Palm, smile etc. Nothing happens.
6. Tried PHOTO mode, same thing...

Am I missing something?

when show your palm..you should see a palm icon appear..

but i find it funny, the phone see my palm...it show the palm sign...and to take photo...i need to make a fist..end up all my photo..have my fist

Bottom portion of the OLED screen is defective. Colours cannot be reproduced properly. The colour is blueish green. There is an obvious section of the panel having the defect. I took picture of it and sent it to them via shopee chat as I bought from the official store. They immediately apologised and said will do 1 to 1 exchange.

Initially they said this Wed can go down to their service center but when asked if can earlier, they offered to do door step exchange today.

Doesn't matter whether you activate from inner or outer, or which mode. There's a certain distance to activate try playing around with it. By right you see palm sign then will show countdown

Wrong usage lol. Fist is screen shot. You shud see palm then wait 3 sec countdown. Or just smile a bit then back to default/intended face to let it auto capture.

Confirm palm can work for folded and unfolded position. Just make sure when unfolded, you must show your palm to the rear camera, not the camera on the screen.

I just realized that the Google Play system update is at least 3 months behind (still in May 24). That's not good. Honor need to roll out the updates asap.

Thanks for the update bro.. I also bought from Shopee Honor Official shop and delivered to me last Friday.. But didn't want to use it without the screen protector so didn't bother to open and try.. Will check and make sure the set is ok..

i think you are right.. compare the version and build it does point to aug 24..

if you go to app and choose play services go to detail.. it show same version as aug 2024
