Why don't we write to Honor Official (China) itself to complain about the service quality of Honor Singapore? Will they do something like send their reps to SG to overhaul the service standards here?

It's quite appalling that a company like Honor would let its reputation be tarnished by poor aftersale support. Particularly in a country like Singapore.

Posting here as there's more traffic and users here. Anyone know how to get 5G-SA working on magic phones? Like V5 and M8 Pro? I don't see any toggle for 5G-SA like on iPhone.

I used netmonster to check, only connected to NSA

There isn't a way to select SA mode only. When I changed my zym sim card to 5g, I could not find a way to select SA only. In developer options, 5g mode only allows NSA or SA+NSA.

similar to oneplus/oppo phone, just select SA+NSA in developer options, it will connect to SA if yr telco and/or Sim card is 5G SA compatible.

on the other hand, singtel mvnos like zym/zero 1/vivifi is not SA enabled yet.

Default is auto, not sure what is what also lol. I just put default for now.

if yr telco/sim card is 5G SA compatible, i reckon u could it leave it on default, which is auto.

if SA compatible and u are not connecting to SA, then u could force it by selecting NSA+SA.

if u are using main singtel sim only plan, Eight 5G and/or m1 maxx 5G, u can try to leave it on default 1st and see how it goes.

how did u check if 5G-SA not working on V5?

SA is working for me on my V5 however the phone seems to be very aggressive on switching to NSA whenever I'm on the go. My guess is that it doesn't like interference variations on SA n78 and is configured to latch onto NSA b8 first before trying SA n1 or SA n28.

I have tried every trick in the book and could not disable NSA or go into the manual cellular band selection menu.

by the way, for those of you on SingTel 5G, do you see VoLTE or VoNR? apparently, SingTel says there's no VoNR support for Honor Magic V5 sia. dunno what kinda logic is that, and claim that it's Honor's issue, not SingTel's (i.e. need Honor to release a software patch to support Singtel VoNR).

Use pixel IMS to force enable VoNR. I have done it successfully, don't need to root. (am on singtel postpaid)

The default carrier profile resets everytime when you restart the device, so you'd have to reenable via pixel IMS.
