Think can attract existing Huawei users to switch over, I see many Huawei p30 series and mate20 series and they actually want to continue using Huawei with proper Google apps.
Actually for some time, Huawei has already licensed a French phone brand called Wiko to make rebranded Huawei models that come with gms... u can find a Wiko store on Aliexpress but it doesn't seem like it's turning out very well judging from their sales there...

Wiko is relatively unknown so no surprise their phones doesn't attract much sales even if it's rebranded Huawei.

It's not just rebranded Huawei... it's rebranded Huawei with proper google apps... that's the other main selling point here and just like u said... there are many Huawei users who would jump on the chance to continue using Huawei with proper google apps and this is the next best thing, isn't it? But for some reason, it doesn't seem to be doing too well... who knows right? It could be the marketing side that din do a good job or smth?

I mean that Honor standing a higher chance as it used to be a Huawei subbrand so people might recognise the Honor brand more than other 'authorised licensed brand'.

But dun forget... before the US sanctions against Huawei took place... Honor was only the budget/affordable sub-brand of Huawei... it was only after the latter went Google-less that Honor had a chance to "shine" and produce their very own flagship series of phones... not least thanks to google. But I believe Huawei and Honor are now very separate, independent entities and gone are the days when one was under the other. So no matter how much Huawei users associate Honor with Huawei to this day... the two will never be related in any way again... or at least for a good long time...

The Honor 90 seems to be a good phone. Any idea if the ROM will have Google Services, i.e. a proper Global ROM and not China language change? I use a lot of bank services that need app authorisation. Most of these apps need google services to run I think.

All local set Honor phones come with GMS and Google playstore. I saw a seller/shop already start to sell local set Honor 90... another phone shop mymobilehouse is still taking pre-orders for it.... along with Honor 90 Lite...

Unfortunately the display protection is not mentioned. Will it scratch easily?

Storage UFS is also not mentioned for the Honor 90.

saw a youtube unboxing and mentioned storage UFS 3.1

Didn't watch the video. I also saw in other places UFS3.1 but I don't think it is true, as it would be proudly displayed in the specs. There is nothing official anywhere. Likely it is using UFS 2.2.

Anyone know if MagicOS has a feature allowing YouTube playback with the screen off, something like Xiaomi's Video Toolbox feature?
