Would be good to stay near the malls, within few minutes walking distance ... safer also ...

I stayed in both before. Puteri pacific has gym and pool facilities and international breakfast, more of a four star hotel. Citrus is more budget and cheaper and just next to city square. So depends on what you want.

If ask me personally i choose citrus because the 10min walk from city square after sun sets really feels insecure to me. Small roads are potential risks to robbery esp in JB

Consider the newest hotel in town which is the Amari. Directly opposite JBCC.

Quit expensive.

Looking at their opening rates, I'd personally give them a try. Otherwise maybe Puteri Pacific (further from JBCC) or Double Tree (even more $).

Those other hotels in that area... maybe Citrus if you want cheaper... but I'd still want to pay a little more and go for those others instead.

Depends where chiu want to position chiurself. If stay Mt Austin tiagong the Midori ish notch bad. There are quite many boutique hotels there. Or else stay Renaissance Hotel...also nice at Permas Jaya.
