Depends where chiu want to position chiurself. If stay Mt Austin tiagong the Midori ish notch bad. There are quite many boutique hotels there. Or else stay Renaissance Hotel...also nice at Permas Jaya.

Yeah. If you want to near Aeon Bukit Indah, then the best hotel around there is D'aspire KSl or granada.

Well if you want somewhere near causeway, near to JBCC and citysquare, then Amari will be one of the good hotel, as good as renaissance.

Things to take note if you are staying in Amarin JB.

This is the short cut. Walk to JBCC come out of the main entrance facing the road. Cross the road and you will see the mini new empty mall. Go in and go up the escalator, and exit the the door. Turn left then you see Amari hotel entrance conceige. Take the lift to Level 6 lobby for check in. All this take only 5 mins. From JBCC entrance.

If you are hauling luggage, note the above route may be a problem. The lift at the new empty mall (with the Morganfield restaurant) is not ready, and the escalator does not work 24-7. Jalan Wong Ah Fook is still as busy so it may not be so easy to cross.

Renaissance is huge. Mr Ben Wang is ever accomodating.

We were always surprised by this manager who got switched from Sanya Ritz Carlton.

The hotel is near Todak Restaurant too.

Pity nothing much nearby.

Only 10k points per night which is dirt cheap and Suites room for Platinum Guest.

Other than that. I prefer DoubleTree Hilton for the location and accessibility.

Over budget in my opinion ...
One nite about 80+sgd ...
superior 28m2 no bath tub ...

With that price range. would rather choose
Grand Paragon - $ 50+ (standard), $60+ (deluxe)
KSL with bath tub - $ 77

Grand Paragon??? Looking at the reviews on their room and facilities, I dont think i would stay. Amari new and porch.

KSL i have stayed before. Amari superior is like KSL duluxe, the deco and facilities newer and more modern. I dont need bath tub anyway.

Price range for KSL and Amari comparable, depends on when you book, and availability. My booking 1 week ahead for KSL superior king, all in per nite can be S$109.

I looking at 8 - 9 Jul .
Booked last month
grand paragon: standard w breakfsat at 52sgd...
If wo breakfast is 46sgd
slight glitch i guess...
normally their price is at least 56sgd for standard wo breakfast

For ksl, superior room wo breakfast is $75 ...

how's the room at Grand Paragon ?

cheaper in SGD mayb due to RM depreciation ?

Stayed before their standard room ... 23m2 . looks decent
the breakfast is one of the better ones in JB Hotels ...
However need walk 5 min to KSL ...
at nite is better to walk with ur friends.

Doubt is the RM depreciation
have been monitoring rates for jb hotels for quite few months already ...
managed to spot 46sgd for standard no breakfast, so eyes big big ...
the price was updated back to 58sgd already, after two days later ...

Dear all, looking for staycation that is just opposite JBCC and beside Citysquare? Price comparable to KSL. Yes Amari Johore Bahru has it all. NO need to wait for bus or taxi, just walk from JBCC and cross the road. Is it work the price? Look at the link video, is exactly what i stayed before. Nice facility.

Agreed the path from puteri pacific U need walk a small path and overhead bridge or cross road over

Critius just s stone throw lor and more in the main road

Last time I stay in pacific due to big group so late night we big group walk over feel safer

If alone or couple I think I pick critus too

I stayed in both before. Puteri pacific has gym and pool facilities and international breakfast, more of a four star hotel. Citrus is more budget and cheaper and just next to city square. So depends on what you want.

If ask me personally i choose citrus because the 10min walk from city square after sun sets really feels insecure to me. Small roads are potential risks to robbery esp in JB
