If want to be near the checkpoint, I'd go for Amari instead of Double Tree, if you plan to walk back late at night.

I've been warned by staff from the latter to be careful when walking to City Square, the part after turning off the road in front of the hotel. And at that time, it wasn't even nightfall yet.

Yes I agreed, the first time when I was at the hotel to check in, I walked from City Sq to DoubleTree by Hilton and even though it was in the afternoon it was rather quiet.

I would recommend using grab from City Sq to DoubleTree as it cost about RM3-5

From Hotel Lobby can use wifi to book grab, Eg. KSL or Amari lobby, still can receive the wifi.

From shopping mall, try go to coffee bean or starbuck or mcdonald or any cafe with free wifi to book grab.

The only problem is if its not a local number, the drivers may not respond as when come to locating you, they may want to call a local number instead of oversea number.

So the best alternative is to buy a prepaid card, which can be use again if you go over to msia often for short trip.

Anyone knows a good hotel in Bukit Indah? Currently looking at grandlux.

KSL sounds good but not near to check point lor

Need take a cab or own own transport

U can take a bus from CIQ to KSL, think it's quite cheap, RM1.50 Iirc. If u take taxi might get carrot chop for RM20. But hey that's like $6.

Decent hotel, quite clean. Free wifi but sometimes quite slow. Nice play pool with dinosaur. And ALOT of Singaporean.

If u drive remember to bring your car park ticket so they can validate it.

And after u check out... Keep the pouch they put the room key in. So u can use the toilets around the hotel.
