I was with 2 friends at the beach when we heard the news. Can’t remember how should’ve been over the radio.
we rushed down and offered to volunteer but 2 of us were rejected. Only 1 of us accepted as she was a nurse. Later the stories she told us were both happy and sad.
About how this guy trapped the rubbles with another person next to him and they were both stuck but kept talking to encourage each other in the dark. And how the other guy died halfway thru from warm body to cold from soft to hard and then turn smelly.
