If the price for Hotel and Airbnb is about the same, any advise should I book Hotel or Airbnb?

Hotel - Safety box, daily cleaning
Airbnb - Microwave oven to reheat food, no daily cleaning

Any advise?

I have tried Airbnb both in Korea and Japan, my experience says hotel for the conveniences as you can leave your luggage with them if either happen to arrive early or your departure is late at night. No such service is provided with Airbnb.

stayed at best western arirang hill, seoul. pretty gd, newly opened hotel, like 6 mths only and most of the staff are competent in english or chinese or both. there is a shopping area nearby, which they call sungshin women's univ rodeo street. metro exit is rather near the hotel.

stayed at ibis busan, near bujeon station and market. bathroom is small. twin room size is ok but double room is smaller. if you don't mind walking, there is a connected underground tunnel all the way to the seomyeon area. bujeon metro exit is also rather near the hotel.

I stayed in ibis styles myeondeong v nice n good hotel except room quite small.

Bed is v comfy

attractions yes - same line as myeongdong, dongdaemun, hoehyeon (namdaemun, n seoul tower). other attractions (those palace stations) also nearby, only need to change to another line.

airport - don't think any airport bus stop is nearby, i took metro to seoul station to take arex.

Can anyone recommend which hotel provides coin operated washer & dryer in Myeongdong area? Looking at somewhere that is convenient, reasonable pricing and suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids. Hope to get some advises and recommendation. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for sharing. Yes, metro hotel does have but was sourcing for any more other options with pricing around $100 if possible before zooming down to decide which one. Any others to share? Thanks!

Anybody keen to stay at Myeongdong (3pax max), can PM me. I have a studio apartment for rent. Studio apartment comes with 1 queen bed and 1 sofa bed.

10mins walk from main Myeongdong shopping district, and 1min to train station. 24hrs convenience store just downstairs, and loads of eateries nearby! Perfect location, new and modern building and even comes with namsam view right from the apartment window.

Yep stayed a few times
The location is very good and u get a decent free breakfast if u book on their website.

The location is at myeongdong but it is at a quiet part so it isnt noisy.
Rooms can be a bit small.

They fully renovated just about 2 years ago or so.

I highly recommend Metro hotel if the price is ok.
Sometimes the pricing can be quite high.

Is is better to stay in myeongdong or hongdae area?
Shopping and food area nearby is a must.
