How come ah???
Was that a question? It was just rare that time for any neighbourhood school to offer that. Oh NCC was common but it’s usually NCC (land). Not common for NCC air or seaI understand why the need to mention "neighbour sec school"
This is like telling us how come dnt want to be mp.How come ah???
Hearsay got a neighbourhood sec school in the east side produces a lot of pilotsI understand why the need to mention "neighbour sec school"
Same with doctors. The pilot requirement is quite stringent here.
but then we are employing from other places with less stringent requirements.![]()

I know of one can fail captain test 3 times; in the end retired only as FO in SQCan make it to Captain then say.
Where did it say Singaporeans do not want to be pilots?
Actually, I just thinking how many Singaporeans actually want to be pilots, MPs etc etc? I dare say not many. This is like telling us how come dnt want to be mp.
Maybe we hv real talent people but are poor n muss the boat completely.Actually, I just thinking how many Singaporeans actually want to be pilots, MPs etc etc? I dare say not many.
Oh, I am sure many Singaporean want the perks and salary of being an MP or a pilot but that’s not the same as wanting the job
Simple example. If a sinkie really wants to be an MP, join the grassroots and fight to be selected as a candidate. Or go as independent. if you want to be a pilot, then go for selection. Don’t say oh interview is too tough, I too old to start…. Those are just excuses and gives me the impression that what people want is the salary and perks only but not the job
Like being bosses. Sinkies want to be the manager that earns $60k a month but ask them to network or travel a lot overseas (leave family behind) or work overtime and they say mlmlmlwml
Example. I know someone who joined nursing in the mid 30s. Mid career switch. He wanted to be a nurse. He joined, didn’t mind the hard work and being under senior nurses who are younger than him and many years later rose to a senior position (but not that senior cos his career runway is shorter than average). He didn’t say oh I too old, too many foreigners. He just went and did it

This one I don’t fully agree. But yes I take your point. It’s harder for talented but poor people to be recognised and to rise up compared to a richer person who might not be as talentedMaybe we hv real talent people but are poor n muss the boat completely.
While many good for nothing rich people can become top easily.
