Y u wan ur generation to save more? Spending drives the economy, which translate to stronger economic growth, more robust labor market, and better investment return.

U sld hope that ppl spend more so u will be in a better position to accumulate more.

I'm already an old uncle, if given me a choice again I would say just do it when you are young~

But looking back... the one you tend to marry are not the ones you date when young, and you don't need a car to get a girl, and all the cigarettes are drinks didn't really benefit me after all these years.

So its really a personal preference. In fact you can still enjoy your life and save money if you are smart with money management.

Well I'm actually trying to say you can save lots of money through compounding and passive income if you can just waste less money when you are still in the 20s. I'm uncle in my late 30s from humble background... and can still accumulate a reputable passive income stream if you are willing to delay your gratification~ cheers

last time wanted to buy a lot of things but got no money, now save so much no urge to spend.. most of the time eat cai png occasionally restaurant

for the last 14 years of my working life the biggest single ticket item i bought was just 1 rolex watch, rest of the time just small items less than hundred dollars

actually now younger generation can earn and save quite a lot, reading from the post here 100k salary in their 20s

seldom order drinks outside, most of the eat at home if not working

Diversification is good, I used to hold about 10 counters in my portfolio but it became too taxing to manage all of them. There are more important things in life than managing assets so I cut down to about 4 counters on average.

You are doing really well at 33, have lots of respect for your accomplishment. Lets hope we all can contunue to grow our nesteggs and achieve financial freedom soon.

how about eating normally and cheaply but exercise regularly say 3-4 times a week?

I feel that intermittent fasting is much better than LCHF.
