ok, so we don't blame anyone, what are the solutions to increase TFR?

Maybe we can learn from the country who has the highest FR?

donno wat's there to learn from other countries

do u know Sg TFR was 6.7 in 1950?

so we should learn from ourselves in the past?

as ur country gets more educated, wealthier and developed, TFR will free fall, it is almost impossible to reverse this

hence the term demographic transition

Cannot be done, hence need to import.

Mindset has changed for current generation, they will no longer prioritise family over their own freedom.

Allow polygamy lor. Then government provides incentives lor, increase baby bonus, big ang pow when married a new wife, monetary reward the best because of the high cost in the child bearing...

Build thousands of studio flats for young ppl to rent. Idea is to encourage them to move out after JC. The babies will come naturally.

Make things cheaper not more expensive.

If day by day year by year the gov decide to tax more of the citizens everyone will feel times are hard and they will not wanna have kids

Buffer the BTO price and not give that land price excuse.

The cost goes up and the wait is damn long. This delays people who wanna start family

Later you see jobless people with 5 wives and 20 kids squeezing in a 2rm flat, all eating 大鱼大肉 on taxpayer's dime.

If allow polygamy no need too much monetary incentives. Let the rich and attractive have more kids. They can build a 后宫 in their GCB.

NS shd not b "male vs female"-> but shd b "Childless VS Parents". So all SINGLES & CHILDLESS (females+males) (single+married)" shd do NS. Thus "fathers of babies/kids" get NO reservist. Let males finish Uni, start NS age25. New era2024 ="childless-ness" shd b NS criteria; not gender, not marital status.

TFR is only a problem because old people like us are around. Make sure you are not a burden in 20 years time. All those above 40 need to be more considerate.

Said many times, with miw around, it is not going happen.

Raising tfr, is a long term investment, they don't have the grit & focus to turn around tfr.
