Extreme resilience vs Obsession?

Taking accountability and fix the damage you caused which requires sacrifice vs self preservation at all cost even it means being selfish so that you survive and continue the game?

When is considered grit, when is considered stubborn like a rock?

When is considered cutting loss quickly, when is considered giving up too soon?

When is considered being strategic, when is considered scheming?

It feels like they are just the same trait? But if luck is on your side and you get what you want, then people frame it as the good trait. If not is just blamed as the bad?

And if you know the game is rigged and no matter how you play, you will not win, will you still play?

You are not interested to merely be a participant, you want to win and the only satisfied outcome to you is, win.

If you know going further, stats show you will be burn, will you continue? But if you don't, you can't prove the stats is right. And if you don't, you can't tell if there is a miracle against all odds.

Don't think too much. Set realistic goal and timeframe.

When timeframe reached, be honest with yourself and assess how near/far to goal.

If near, can consider adding more timeframe.

If far, be prepared to cut loss. Don't be stubborn thinking things will definitely improve if you soldier on.

Will waste a lot of opportunity cost and time like me. :(

Fine line btw obsession and grit. Eventually what makes sense is the outcome. If the outcome is positive, then it's grit. If it's negative, then it's obsession.

This is the way.

don't think anyone will have the answer until it happens. anything before is mostly belief or trying. some tried so hard but failed yet some don't even really try, success just landed.
to me just do your work honestly and try within your means if you have some ambition, forcing or stubborness will not help. the latest example was Jensen Huang, read up his startup challenge and you will find out he seems destinated to success although he did put in tremendous effort and facing extreme headwinds but some how each challenge or obstacle seems to favor him. even the AI application for his GPU was discovered by an external researcher which later pointing him to focus AI application using GPU.

"When the 2012 AlexNet breakthrough proved GPUs could supercharge neural networks, Huang recognized the potential and pivoted Nvidia's entire hardware and software focus toward supporting artificial intelligence"

Courtesy of Claude:

Grit is sustained effort toward a long-term goal, even through setbacks. Obsession is a compulsive fixation that persists whether or not it serves you.

The key differences:
  • Control: Grit is chosen. You can step back, rest, or change course. Obsession drives you, and stopping feels unbearable.
  • Flexibility: Gritty people adjust tactics, or even abandon a goal when evidence says it’s not working. Obsessive people double down regardless.
  • Balance: Grit coexists with relationships, sleep, and other interests. Obsession crowds them out.
  • Motivation: Grit usually comes from purpose or values. Obsession often comes from anxiety, ego, or a need to prove something.
  • Outcome: Grit tends to build you up over time. Obsession can leave you depleted, even after “winning.”

A quick test: if you could stop and it would be a reasoned decision, that’s grit. If stopping feels like losing part of yourself, or you’d keep going even when it’s clearly hurting you, that’s closer to obsession.

They can look identical from the outside, and the same pursuit can shift from one to the other. What matters is whether you’re steering it or it’s steering you.

So if one's natal chart is born to have a bad life and the easier way is forget about living since luck will never be at this person side even so is not enough to propel as far what this person want.

Should just quit life right? Staying alive and keep trying thinking that she can eventually override the chart and control her destiny is just foolish thinking and obsession correct? Any idea of hope and faith that eventually life will work is also obsession right?

Since she been living nothing but uphill battle and have so many near death encounters, is confirmation signs from sky that, fkx you bitxch just end live, you're ggwp no game already don't need play already. Correct?

Same thing someone else do put in 10% effort also can coast, she put in 110% of effort still not enough. Despite trying to navigate around, and seek profound wisdom still lose to others. Really no point already right?

In the first place got such thg as natal chart being very bad until hard to live?

And also even if have how would you know if the type of natal chart you read is accurate?

And even if it is highly accurate how you know you cannot bypass it in some ways?

Life is an adventure and experiences.
Adventure as in you do not know what is the outcome but you just do it as required.
To me . Nobody knows if Marriage, business or having a kid would fail but “ Do you want to try it or just based on statistics that marriage and business has a high failure rate .”
Ultimately, life is an experience.
If you are successful, you tell a winning story.
If you had failed, you learn from the mistakes.
Either way , you would gain from these experiences.
The worst thing to happen is , “ Never think of it “, “Can’t Do it “.
These are bad traits to have .

Have, if not why will have so many people born in terrible place or have a very bad life.

And also even if have how would you know if the type of natal chart you read is accurate?
Read many chart and many way of theology. All points to similar pattern.

And even if it is highly accurate how you know you cannot bypass it in some ways?
Recently, I tried to experiment something knowing the outcome may not be ideal and it will take a toll on me, and the result is as expected despite I tried to give my all to make it work. And this is only 1 example.
