How to type in chinese?

No idea about typing pinyin.

By default iOS supports Chinese handwriting recognition. Recognizes Cantonese characters too. Those that I write anyway.

You mean 4 tones?

I just entered "zhe shi ce" in portrait mode on my 6+ and each time the characters I want shows up in the selection panel. After "这是测" appears , 试 is the first character in the selection panel without my having to enter the pinyin.

Doesn't seem to need to enter the tone.

we cant do that in iphone. even android also cant.i have not seen any program can do that. what u can do is. instead of typing "怎么可以(zen me ke yi)" u can just type "zmky" and the phone will auto detect the words u wan or smililar words

Will be much faster if can shortlist by entering the tones but I don't think its possible. No choice lor have to search one by one.

Alternatively, use handwritten mode lor.

This one no one can help you liao. Try Google Translate then cut & paste. Or get some hot Beijing babe to tutor you.

it could be due tt such term like 'wahy' has many match

if you aren't satisfied with the native pinyin keyboard, here are two third party keyboards you can try out:
- 百度输入法
- 搜狗输入法
Note that to make use of all their functionality, they require full access under Settings. So avoid typing in your passwords or sensitive info like credit card numbers using third party keyboards (by switching back to the native keyboard).

meaning is there can already.
