Hihi, yday i went down to Funan with my fren to place an order for this HP laptop. Was thinking of getting it for myself also, but scare of the weight (2.3kg) was thinking of getting a similar spec laptop with lighter weight.

Can anyone recommend a similar laptop but lighter ? My budget can go up to 1.6k. Is Asus F8 series lighter?

hi all,

I went to Sim Lim Sq and ask,

They told me only moe schools, they dunno if MDIS or SIM students can or not..
I check with HP telesales, they say as long as got student card can already..

Dunno who to believe, so can student from MDIS or SIM buy this lappy for this promotion?

My fren brought it with SIM student card. Need to wait for around 1 week, the promoter say no ready stock.

U can wait till the IT fair to c is there any futher goodies, but my fren hate to squeeze into the fair, so we jsut went dw to Funan to get it. One to one service, no shouting needed, haha. we have the whole shop to ourselve.

just called HP, the cso said that i can place my order thru him but have to wait for 7-14 days for it to be delivered to my house...:sad:

Great that ur frd bought it. Im also from SIM. Btw which shop in funan u went too?

Just to prove that the "student" promo is never enforced strictly. No company would want to reject a sales. :)
