wah, can install open office?
issit laggy in Ubuntu?

if can Ubuntu then the touch pad is worth it

it's quite fast cos im running a lightweight desktop environment..

you can compile any application source code on touchpad so that it runs on this ARM cpu.. but the synaptics package manager that comes wit Ubuntu has plenty of available linux applications to install and use like gimp, pidgin, chromium, thunderbird, libreoffice, etc.

Nobody pay more then $150 for 16G version. Even those bough at $599 get a rebate from HP.

yup I know. But I really wanted a touchpad due to its specs so I'm willing to fork out a little more than the slashed price. I do not regret the purchased as after OC and adding some tweaks,it became a very sleek tablet. Its better then the iPad for me except apps selection. And bear in mind some people bought their touchpad from forumers here above $300 so I think my price is ok. Currently waiting for android to port and the tablet will be AWESOME:)

U ordered from the mo? Anyone received the case from the mo? Care to do a short review? Quite concerned about the fit

by right no need meh, just do a erase of data and apps. u will be prompt to re-setup again ur touchpad. tix time round re-register with another id and choose US store. but remember to do a backup. so that u can revert back and it will automatically re-installed all apps that were previously installed. :)
