hi guys, is the non-charging problem in cm9 alpha very common? I plug in mine to charge, it says charging but the battery % just keeps going down. Have to switch it off or boot into webos to charge. not very useful as i am planning to use the touchpad as my 10.1 " GPS navigator for long road trips

Just wondering, what are you using as a GPS receiver? AFAIK, only the 4G Touchpad has GPS built-in...

Your best bet is eBay US. Very difficult to find 3rd-party accessories for the TouchPad in Singapore. And you want TPU/ silicon, it has to be specially made for TouchPad, not recommended to use iPad 1.

Count me in if anyone want to order, we share the shipping....
Thanks.

Actually I only find the charger worth. With shipping, might not be worth. I prefer those silicone/tpu type of cases. The one I saw at amazon is gonna cost 17 bucks for think will be worth long term. My tablets never leave my room so leather book type case not needed.

Anyway small update after flashing cm9 nightly fresh from box, I like the tablet a lot. Smooth and responsive. Good wifi connection, but seems to be draining the batt a lot by staying on all the way. My avi format movie is choppy. Need to play are more to tell for sure.

I ported over to ClassicNerd Butter and the wifi and charging problems were resolved. However there was a new problem in that some apps eg Falling Freddy, Draw Something couldn't work.

I re-installed CM9 nightly version 22 May and so far no issues.

I didn't do a wipe so encountered an issue when it auto boots on start up to ClassicNerd unless manually changed to CM9. Found the youtube videos by ReverdKJR to remove the classicnerd option and to change boot up option to CM9. Had to install the gapps though for google play to work.

I followed that same video to flash my touch pad. The only issue for me might be battery drain due to wifi. But I haven't really use the touch pad a lot, still changing between this and iPad. But for me, its a very good buy. Only thing left is to get the tpu cover.

Try iPad 1 cover, might fit. I have given the touch pad to my wife and took over her Asus tf101. Now looking for tpu/silicone case for that.

Why not try eBay US? FYI, I brought my original folio case, slipcase and 1-2 iPad 1 covers from US and shipped over to try. The iPad 1 cases fits nicely but for some reason I don't like them - I preferred the original TouchPad cases and sold off the iPad 1 cases liao.

I am too looking for the cover. :(

Anyone having touch screen issues? my touchpad's 4 corners are defective and does not respond to touch.

I'm thinking of replacing them myself by buying a new digitizer from ebay.

My touchpad has started to have the same problems. Replacing the digitizer is the only solution? I'm afraid it might brick in the process.

Around this time last year, HP announced that it will discontinue operations of HP webOS devices and offered the TouchPad at a firesale price of US$99.

Some of us here are lucky enough to be able to purchase a set at firesale price directly from the US. Some of us managed to purchase a set in Singapore or as a Purchase-with-Purchase promotion with selected HP laptop during COMEX 2011.

Fast forward to a year later, who is still using their HP Touchpad and enjoying it?

I am. Still using it once in a while. 32GB and unrooted.

Happy Anniversary to all TouchPad owners.
