That's why I say HSBC backside itchy go and introduce app registration. Last time just SMS registration can easily tell if have overlapping registration by looking at past SMS.

With the app registration, don't know if accidentally trigger the registration.

And they so messed up. Can send push notification that I register when I did not. End up I had to sit out in Feb and join Mar to be sure.

There will be an email confirmation for app registration.

your push notification say u r registered for which cycle?

I registered for Dec and received SMS acknowledgement. Suddenly in Jan Push notification received in Jan say I registered for Jan. I ask chat to confirm if I registered for Dec they reply I'm Jan. Ask them to check to my SMS sent in Dec they ask me to call hotline.

Hotline checked my SMS sent in Dec so registered for Dec. But I find it so messy so to play safe I sit out in Feb and only join back in Mar.

Yah their system not tracking registration properly. :(

Email confirmation states the registration will apply for both sole and joint accounts, no option to choose.

When in doubt refer to terms and conditions.
By registering for the Promotion via the HSBC Singapore app, customer agrees to participate in the Promotion for all Eligible Accounts with his/her name as an account holder. An Eligible Customer with both Sole and Joint EGA is only required to register once and registration will be applied to all accounts. Any withdrawal of registrations will apply to all Eligible Accounts under the customer’s name.

I called in to downgrade on my own accord in January, eversince they impose the $200k balance thingy.
Hey maumu, can find out how did the whole process takes? You just call in will do? need to fill in any forms? Referring to the downgrade of account. Thanks in advance.

actually anyone has been charged fee for HSBC premier and fail to maintain TRB of $200K ?

so far i have not though

Just received sms today (11 March) that i successfully reg for Feb bonus interest.
Sms was sent 4 Feb.

Just use the chat function in the app and tell the CSO you want to downgrade.

Someone will then call you a day or two later to confirm, and will email you a form to fill up and you email it back.

That's about it.
