Then just tell the bank to waive or close account and let the bank blacklist lor , just use other banks if that happens

Anyway I blacklisted UOB many years ago when they did not honour the campaign goodies and pretend to forget to credit my earmarked savings interest after a few reminders ...
I didn't know they will chut the overdraft pattern too lol , lucky i not keen in any of the UOB Promos anymore

UOB cannot use, HSBC soon also cannot use. DBS also overdraft so cannot use. You will fall out of the banking system soon, use biscuit tins in future?

There are other options that pays more than banks , but one can always choose to put biscuit tins if he/she feel like it lol

I only willingly leave my min sum at banks i frequent - DBS and Maybank. And they only require $500. Recently i close my UOB one account after leaving $500 there for 20 over years for nothing. Leave until forgot.

HSBC fall below fee will overdraft, kena before.
My is personal EGA so the deduction is only $5. I join donno what event and they credited a few $1 into my acc. I didn't check my account frequently and when i finally go take a peep then realise the amount they awarded, they taken away 😂 but no overdraft.
When did yours happen? I'm also curious why yours turn out overdraft.

Can I consult the experts here? The Everyday+ Rewards has got many aspects:
1. Deposit $2000 (fresh fund)
2. Perform 5 transactions ($1 out)
By doing so, the $2000 that we deposit will earn 1% bonus interest. Is that 1.05% on that $2000 for 1 month?
However, if I do 5 Giro payments and 5 $1 transactions, do I get the 1% cashback or 1% bonus interest? Furthermore, if I don't deposit $2000 and yet pay 5 Giro bills, will I still qualify for the 1% cash back.
Or, if I pay 3 Giro bills, will I still get the cash back, do I need to perform the $1 transactions (may be 2 times)
Thank you for taking your time to answer my question.

I'm no expert but i just want to share what i did.
Eg. Any day in Dec, i transfered 2k in. And i transfer out 5 x $1 to my DBS acc. I received sms messages that come days later that says

"HSBCSG (1/2) Thanks for qualifying for Everyday+! Enjoy 1% cashback on eligible spends and GIRO bill payments plus 1% p.a. bonus interest until 31JAN2025."

"HSBCSG (2/2) T&Cs and details on HSBC SG> Banking> Everyday Global Account. SGD Deposits are insured up to S$100k by SDIC."

Thank you for replying. According to the message that you receive, you qualify for the 1% cashback plus 1% bonus interest. Do you use EGA account to pay for the Giro bills, do you receive the cashback? Also, the 2K that you transfer in, is there a rule saying that your monthly balance need to be 2k more than the previous month. If not, the 2K that you deposit in today, can it be withdrawn tomorrow?

Let's say my giro bill is on 25th. Let's say my giro bill is $1500
So I transfer in 2k on 24th.
After 1.5k deducted by giro on 25th, I fast out 4 x $1 and 1 x $496 on same day.
Yes. Gotten my 1% usually the next working day. At times late by days but never missed.

That is a good strategy and your giro bill is high. This scheme works well for you, 1% cashback is $15. Well done.

I do not have such a high bill for giro, so I need to withdraw a higher amount on that day. Thank you.

i totally agree with you. I will not sour my relationship with the 3 local banks. A couple of accounts & services are only offered by the 3 (used to be more option but most already merged into these 3 groups).

If never use then better close the account, just that it's abit troublesome to do so. I only managed to close my Citibank accounts.

Based on interest at only 3% = $15/yr

20+ years interest = min $300 😬
