Anyone facing Play Store crashing on their HTC 10 running Oreo?
Have not encountered it personally but read elsewhere that it might be due to Boost+ power optimiser trying to force 1080p resolution on the play store. Can try to disable power optimiser for play store to see if it helps..

Weird, after getting Oreo update last month or so, it seems my 10 revert back to the old OS, slower changing of screen, screenshot animation, and occassional hanging. Anyone got this issue?

Hi .. a bit late but bobian, my HTC10 is almost unusable now.

Same issue, phone dies at 50%ish, bootloop .. when i restart it with a charger its like at 1%. Battery drain is insane too, can max use it for like 45 mins before it dies at 50%. Accubattery says estimated capacity is at 1,300+ mAh .. terrible.

Read a lot online, some say hardware issue some say software issue. Im not very techy, tbh i just want to get a new phone but need to tahan 6 more months for my contract to end.

Anyone solved the issue? I read that you can replace the battery at some shops, but anyone got any recommendations?

Havent tried factory reset yet, but idk if it will help if its a hardware issue?

Edit: sry forgot to mention, phone is about 1.5 years old. Bought in Dec 2016

Battery wear and cannot retain a good charge hence bootloop when it cannot maintain a certain voltage during operation. Just change a new battery and it will be fixed.

Ehhh thats ok, was thinking its going to be $100+. That shop dont have replacement batteries?

update:

Tried calling breakfixnow, they say they dont do servicing for HTC10. Googled a bit, found this shop called imobile.sg. they say they got no more stock for HTC10 battery, but if you have your own they can do replacement for $30.

Not bad leh .. taobao battery should be less than $10 right?

Was quoted the following 2 mths ago when I visited the official service centre at The Central:

Local set: $24.60 to change battery

Non-local set: $24.60 + $53.50 (global warranty surcharge)

Price looks reasonable IMO, but I vaguely remember some crap turnaround time of 5+ days for local set. Non-local set was estimated in weeks! :s22::s22:

Hey that sounds pretty cheap! But what about the evaluation fee that they charge? O: do we need to pay for that?

I would go for the service centre if not for them telling me that they swapped my battery when in fact they didn't because my battery couldn't have degraded that much in less than 4 months.
