Here's just a few SOT statistics that I got from my HTC 10. Quite consistent so far. Definitely above average battery life.

This is pretty bad tbh. Even my lg g3 with custom rom can do 4 to 5hr Sot with heavy use. My s7 edge does 7hour Sot. Guess i wont be getting a htc 10.

You can't be serious right? Comparing tge S7 Edge with the HTC 10. The S7 Edge is obviously one of the phones with a bigger battery capacity. If you're going to compare like that, then I might as well compare your S7 Edge with the Huawei Mate 8 and say yours has crappy battery life too? Look at the battery capacity of both phones and it obviously says it all. You can't be expecting the 10 to have 7 hours of SOT, that's ridiculous and stupid.

Even though S7e battery capacity is 20% bigger however the SOT I got on S7e is easily at least 30-40% higher after you prorate out the battery size differences
The HTC 10 is also obviously warmer vs S7e in use
Is a simple fact the HTC 10 battery loses out to S7e
I had both phones

For one, it's pretty obvious that the 10's battery loses out, who doesn't know that? I got 5 hours and 20 minutes yesterday out of my 10's usage. And in case you haven't realised, the S7e is using Samsung's own Exynos processor. Wouldn't it be damn obvious that it would be more battery efficient and run cooler?

I'm not trying to put down the S7e, but trying to compare SOT between these two phones is just being stupid because they are of a different screen size, different battery capacity, different kind of screen technology, and obviously, a darn different processor.

Lol stop comparing sot as a means of battery life because everybody's usage will be different...

Obvious is the speakers.
This is subjective - I prefer HTC LCD as had never like Samsung Amoled which I find overly bright n colors oversaturated
Fit n comfort on hand : HTC though design wise I prefer S7e
UI smoothness - both about similar
Others I would say S7e has slight edge over HTC
Both are good phones
But my personal favorite is still my other LG V10 follow by Mate8
BTW I am a phone enthusiast n I buy n test phones. Those I don't like I often sold within 2 weeks. I keep my phones on average 3-6 months
Above are just my assessment n there is no right or wrong answer

Not selling. Will hand down to my son to replace his aged 4 year old Galaxy S3 ( still in great shape). He doesn't bother much and little interest in latest phones.
