the problem of global company with dwindling source of income. they thread on a small budget of marketing and concentrate on large markets.

What's your warranty ? I understand if bought from HTC authorised shop your get 2 yrs local warranty. Else if buy from other shops selling hp only one year but cheaper like your price

1 year I think, but I didn't bother since I'm not staying in Taiwan.

Wasn't the 2 year at HTC shops only for a limited period after launch?

Also heard the distributor 联强 covers their stock with an additional year of warranty, but not everyone has high faith in that as it's not by HTC themselves.

Very bad strategy for HTC, they will "bleed" even more

Their concentration should be on HTC 10 flagship, should sell HTC 10 in China, not the Lifestyle version.


Also if you noticed carefully, their marketing strategy in China, is trying to mislead consumer

Why I say mislead, bcos they didn't put the word "Lifestyle" in the marketing

Actually the SD820 HTC 10 coming to China too, after the backlash when HTC first announced that China will only be having the Lifestyle HTC 10.
The SD820 isn't under the plans to be launched in China at first but was immediately changed to let the SD820 to be sold.
