Cool fact, originally HTC doesn't have plans to offer the SD820 HTC 10 in the China market but supposingly people started to petition HTC to release it and now HTC is offering the SD820 and SD652(Lifestyle) HTC 10 in the China market.

Maybe if we petition for HTC to offer both SD820 and Lifestyle in Singapore then probably we can get it too haha~ :s13:

Local telcos have been very reluctantly sell HTC phones, ever since their sales slumped few years back.

We look back, the only best seller flagship device is M8, nothing else.......

We need to accept the reality though.

HTC 10 / 10 Lifestyle may be the last flagship.......the company has been "bleeding" very badly
Actually is M10 already launched? I'm seeing lots of hands on reviews but no news regarding launch in SEA?

HTC phones are not popular in S.E.A so they r not willing to spend budget in this region. I think it will take HTC Singapore at least a month before they decide to bring in HTC 10.

this is my serious consideration, after knowing the home button is not a physical button like samsung's crap. if the price is right, time to get one.

Population numbers in China and Singapore vastly different. For our market size, probably only room for 1 model to be profitable. Unless HTC is willing for the cheaper handset to eat into it's Desire market.

people here are rich and are face/brand whores. they mostly contract with a telco for 2 years. when telco sells a handset, it has to make money. the result is you have limited models of those highly marketed 1 or 2 phones.
The market is big enough to have many more models. but the corporate tie-ups and marketing makes life hard for those less-marketed models.

It may have better physical home button than others, but it is still a crappy physical home button to ppl who don't like physical or prefer capacitive home button.

thanks for answering.
the thing with samsung is, 1 capacitive on the left, 1 on the right, then in the middle, u press a physical button. The feel is different. wtf is this ergonomic design. samsung did that in 2010 when it copied apple. that's why samsung designed it that way. 6 years later, it is still there. lol.
thank god the rest of android has moved either to all capacitive or all on screen.

and thanks HTC for making it capacitive not a physical middle button.

Benson Leung Won't Recommend The HTC 10 Or LG G5 Because QC3.0 Over USB Type-C Is Not Spec Compliant

Full article: http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/0...-qc3-0-over-usb-type-c-is-not-spec-compliant/
There’s a good chance that this is because the Type-C specification hasn’t been updated yet, but more than likely this is just another case of manufacturers working out a way to add a new technology to something that already-existed. Whether or not this means that the HTC 10 or LG G5 are unsafe in any way is unclear, but considering the lengthy testing process these devices go through, we highly doubt it. Qualcomm, the same firm responsible for the Snapdragon 820 inside both devices, has been perfecting its QuickCharge technology for some time now, and we doubt they would be willing to have two of their biggest partners ship devices that were unsafe. After all, just because something doesn’t line up 100% with what’s written in a specification that’s already a lot older than these two devices doesn’t mean they’re unsafe or defective in any way. Even so, using the charger provided in the box by both LG and HTC would seem like a good idea until there’s any word from either manufacturer.

[Apr 20 UPDATE] From the latest email with HTC's local PR: "Conversations are happening now which could change the status of availability communicated last night", so keep your fingers crossed.

with sim only plans from various telco, i think purchasing non-contractual mobiles makes more sense.
