Just received my Carbon Grey from Lazada yesterday. Having come from the S7, I have to say that it's waaay better in terms of the design. Just giving some brief impressions from about half a day's use. These 3 main points are particularly superior to the S7 IMO:

1. HTC10's metal back against S7's fingerprint magnet. The HTC10's chamfered edges really gives off a masculine vibe, and is much more ergonomic than the S7, whose rounded edges makes it slippery as hell to handle. Now I know what people mean when they say the HTC10 is a more "masculine" device than the S7. Even though the HTC10 is a bigger device than the S7, I found much easier to handle the HTC10.

2. Capacitive home button of the HTC10. No brainer when you need to navigate menus and general operation of the phone. The S7's physical home button is clumsy as heck compared to the HTC10's capacitive home button.

3. Which also brings me to the fingerprint scanner of the HTC10. Damn impressive and fast. Don't need to power on the screen first, unlike the S7. Much much more accurate than the S7's too. The S7's fingerprint scanner is just fail.

So far, the only drawback I can observe is that the phone gets rather hot when charging. Perhaps that's due to the metal body, but it's quite concerning.

Glad you like it! I didn't like the heat, so I charge mine daily with an original Samsung 1A charger which keeps the 10 nice and cool. The QC3.0 charger is reserved for urgent cases only.

I think I may have to do the same. Thanks for the tip! :)

Please don't worry about the heat guys.
It's designed to handle it.
If anything your SoCs are designed for much much higher temps. Imagine staying in Arab countries and using this phone.
Normal 1a charger also get as hot as you guys using qc3.0

My concern is not about the SoC, but rather the battery degrading. Heat is one of the big enemies of Li Ion batteries, and will cause it to degrade and lose capacity permanently.
From my experience with the 10, it barely heats up at all when using 1A charger. QC3.0 makes it much hotter.

Lithium-ion suffers from stress when exposed to heat, so does keeping a cell at a high charge voltage. A battery dwelling above 30°C (86°F) is considered elevated temperature and for most Li-ion a voltage above 4.10V/cell is deemed as high voltage.

Granted, I'd already be in the window for a new phone by the time the battery degrades to an unusable state due to quick charge. I just prefer to keep my gear in tip top shape and have more options rather than be stuck with a crippled phone that needs repair.

I'm planning on using my own Sennheiser IEMs. Haven't had a chance to test them out yet though. These are the earphones which came in the box, not sure if these are the high-res earphones:

Yes they are. Can you try them out and give a short review of it?
