Hi. Nothing much other than saying that SingTel has chosen the date 10th September to launch the phone. No news for Starhub and M1 as well as other retailers i.e. MobyShop.

Yeah M1 was "still in discussion" according to customer support.

Press announcement will be within this week. That's all!

End of week alr! Asking for the HTC emails cause cannot keep expecting you and others to update those still waiting, should go enjoy your new device alr!

Btw sidenote, are you the guy who had been replying to the many many ppl on fb about the state of things; essentially being more active than their entire team altogether?

I'm sure the HTC support base is not small, looking at the frustration here & on FB. How small the market is to the telcos resulting them not too keen? I don't know.

By comparison we are small uh; technically I'm not even a fan, this one just ticks all the right boxes this time (i.e. audio playback, capacitive homescreen, close to stock android, metal back).

BUT I have a feeling that there's some internal behind-the-scene persuasion from big Android phone companies to kill HTC & other brands, and HTC is not doing itself favours by its hopeless efforts, leaving the fan base to fend for themselves & help the brand.

Haha,I think HTC would be one of the lower priorities (sadly) if we consider the 'behind-the-scene' scenario; them China phones are really getting traction, also the ZTE Axon 7 looks good too.

Honestly, the fans should just take over the distributorship here :D

Don't need to reach so far ah lol. Just have those here liaising and updating the community become registered sources of information for them, I'll be glad alr. At least have some proper communication channels.

Yes I am :s13::D:s13::s13::s13: HTC South Asia really hopeless haha no kidding, getting Indian company to do things sometimes really can be very slow, if not prata keep flipping. Hope by end of the week they mean SUNDAY and not SATURDAY although I know the theoretical end of week is Saturday.

Thanks for that, so many bloody people can't seem to check other comments to find out. And I was like "wow, there's always this one guy nice enough to reply them fully, not even just telling them to go look and other comments."
But now it's time to pass on the torch!

Well HTC India FB page seems very lively, so clearly they're doing their jobs. It really is like they gave up on this market.

edit 1: Even Malaysia's page has regular posts. So far, the only one worse off that I can see is Indonesia (I don't even see anything on the 10 there).

edit 2: Yeeaaaaaaahh, okay maybe they may actually hate us or at least used to.

Thanks for the clarification. Seems that the Official SG site does not sell either. I look forward to your Rugged Armour review. :s12:

yeah, just bought the rugged armour last night, will post how it compare to NH.

The Neo Hybrid seems to have another issue for me. The Headphone opening is fine but due to the bumper, its too deep for me to insert headphone jack fully.

pardon me for the dust. :o

I had to force it but I doubt the connection is optimum. went thru the sound profile setup, the sound is awful compare to mobo onboard.

never test other headphone, might not be an issue for others. I'm using Sennheiser HD598.

Did a few shots from M8 & M10 tpoday in different situations just to see the improvements. Only based on auto shots. First pic is from M8....

What I like about the new phone is the AF/AE lock is not as drastic, and u get a exposure slide to choose what u like. There's a PRO mode (manual) like old M8 too. The pics shown are purely taken what the camera sees, no alteration.

I kinda miss HTC gallery & browser, which both apk are no longer available via search. Even if u find the app, its not built for the new phone/Android version. Nevetheless, no lag, very fast phome indeed, even when I tried multitaskimg. Gets a little hot, but not as bad as 1st batch of M9.

I believe they have a few individuals at HTC India in charge of our area, but yeah, perhaps, Singapore's market is so small that they prefer not to do anything.

Hahah I will still do whatever I can. Hope everyone here that has time to spare can help to spread information :)

Wow bluedub,

M8 & 10 camera both have purple fringing effect (problem )

Got meh? How to see? Only thing I know the pics are not well presented as Photobucket somehow compressed the pics. In real comparision, M10 camera is a big improvement.

Don't see any purple fringing. I thought purple fringing was from M7 and not M8?

bluedub,

Look at your below M8 photo, the photo top left portion, the fluorescent light there, got slight purple fringing

Nevertheless, it's considered very good already (very little purple fringing)

bluedub,

The soft toys photos, M8 loses out in low light photography (performance)

Can try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3371688

The site have most of the missing HTC apps such as Music, Car and Gallery. For me, HTC music is a must-have; like the album art and lyrics feature.

Just called M1 - As at 30th August, M1 stated HTC 10 was in their systems but with no detail on release date.

i.e. Coming to M1 too (probably Starhub as well, I guess), but HTC hasn't stated when.

Passed by Singtel Exclusive retailer at Woodlands Causeway Point, they started distributing the HTC 10 flyer, 2 colors available on the flyer, Gold and Grey. Dun see the display set though. Hopeful it's this weekend launch!
